Dies Irae
Characters: Rei, Hojo, Jade!Eridan, and the rest of you
Setting: Floor 27, then the rest of the tower
Format: any
Summary: Rei has finally fully embraced her Angelic side. Details here.
Warnings: Body horror, possible graphic violence
Floor 27 (locked to Hojo)
There was no warning when Rei Ayanami's body changed. The girl didn't even have time to gasp before her mind and her body finally gave out before the overwhelming energy of her core.
Her body collapses into a white, constantly shifting mass. The only thing it has in common with her form seconds ago is its mouth filled with jagged teeth and the thousands of eyes that litter whatever shape it takes. Sometimes it has wings, other times arms and legs spouting at strange angles, and other times spines and tentacles. Once, the center of the mass even turns into Rei's normal eyes and face. No matter how it shifts, the glow of its core shines from within its body. It is too bright. It seems to be something that might explode any second.
Heeee~ey. Brothers? Where are you?
The gaping maw sings in a language unfamiliar to the ears, but all too comprehensible to the mind
Come back. Come stay with me. Let us all be one.
It reaches out, trying to find its brethren. At the same time, it is listening for anyone to possibly respond to its message.
Throughout the Tower
The thing that once was Rei creeps through the tower, sometimes walking on strange limbs, other times shuffling forward because it can't hold a form. Those in the area may feel the heat radiating from its body. Every few "steps," it stops, as if it has thought of something or entered a familiar place.
Those are the only moments that "Rei" can actually think. But what remains of the girl's mind has too many questions and too few answers. What is she now. Where is she. What is she doing. And even that moment is all too brief before the Angel's songs fill her mind again, leaving her with only on urge.
She has to take her brothers back. Back to the womb of their Mother. All of humanity must be one existence again. Even if she must destroy their bodies, she will take them back.
When she encounters a human, her body will shift and lash out. If they are unfortunate enough to get too close, she will devour them with her jaws or envelop them with the ever-changing mass of her body. But her core glows. It is like what remains of Rei is giving those who would resist a chance to stop her.
[OOC: Jade!Eridan will be the one to finally kill Rei]

Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
'Isn't there any way I can turn you back so that you look like a normal human girl? So that you do not kill anyone else?'
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
And then there was the fact that with an overloaded core, she couldn't go back to that form.
More tentacles are reaching out to grab him.
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
'If you can transcend, then you can also descend. How do you descend?'
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
Having embraced my true form, why should I descend?
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
'So that I can communicate a little easier with you, and so that your friends and allies can talk with you in a way that they can understand. They love you, you know. Wouldn't you like to talk with them again?'
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
They will be here inside me and with me. They will stand by me within Mother.
She needs no crude human speech. Not when she has the songs that she was born to sing.
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
'I don't think they would enjoy being eaten. And they are not the same as you and I. They can't communicate like this. They will not be able to understand you. It would be best if you just descended from that form.'
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
But as if to indulge him, she shakes her "head".
I consume their being to deliver them from their limited existence. Any pain then is only temporary.
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
chaos sighed, but was happy that she was shaking her head. That was a step in the right direction.
'Creating an alternative collective where souls gather is just going to bring them more harm. It would be best for everyone, including yourself, if you stopped.'
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
As part Angel and part human, Rei was Lilth's child twice-over.
I am no alternative. Mother is the collective. The one true collective. Humans might call it several different names.
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
In your universe, your mother may be the true collective, but thanks to the many people from other worlds and universes that are here, that probably isn't true for them. If you must do this, then wait until you can go back to your own universe. Do it there.'
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
She already has a good idea about what she'll do. If she merges with the other collectives, she'll become the single true collective.
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
Especially in chaos's universe.
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
If I am not the collective, I will become the collective.
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
'Why do you want to become the collective? You can laugh and play with your friends even if you are not. All you have to do is discard the form you currently hold and go back to your old one.'
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
Just like how coming to this Tower had cut short her time with her friends still at home.

Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
She has spent too long talking. Her objective must be fulfilled.
This time, it's not tentacles, but two gigantic hands aiming to clap him.
Re: Floor 25-now Floor Eighteen
Once again, chaos moved his hand in a circular motion. If it worked, those hands would face two fiery explosions.
