Summary: Eleanor doesn't really know how to handle this flu thing, it's been a long time since she's been sick! Well, conventionally sick that is.
Warnings: Cranky, cranky teenagers who can set things on fire with their minds. Also random teleporting and potential telekinetic shenanigans.

[Eleanor woke up this morning with her head feeling like it was stuffed with wool. That was a novelty of a sort, and not a very pleasant one. She shrugged it off though, not entirely familiar with the whole flu process, though somewhere in the back of her head, several dozen voices whined in unison about how awful it was.

Eleanor got dressed in her suit and as usual set out to wander around the Tower, steps slow and gaunt looming.

Except, even if you're used to seeing her go around by now, you might be surprised to see her stumbling a little, leaning heavily sideways and nearly falling off the stairs more than once. For all intents and purposes, it seems like nearly seven feet worth of drunken diving suit, though of course that's not the case.

Hell, her portholes are glowing blue. Blue. She didn't even know that was a thing that could happen.]

Well, it's all about keeping track of myself. I can't really question why I think or feel a certain way, not too much anyway! Because then they start bleeding into that. And they're very useful, because they know a lot of things and share a lot of skills with me, but if I let them bleed in then I start losing myself a little. So if something's mine, I don't question why, it's just mine. Emotions or thoughts or something else. It would be dangerous if they took control.

[Tohko nodded and thought, trying to understand.]

Right..if you paused and thought about yourself and your emotions for a moment, they would be able to bleed in, and since there's so many of them, you'd lose yourself in the confusion and the ruckus. You can get into them, but they can't get into you, or you would cease to be you.

[The helmet bobs in agreement, which of course causes the swaying to turn into something more pronounced.]

That's mostly it. It'd be dangerous if they won.

[And that was it. Tohko grabbed the girls shoulder and helped support her.]

I can see why. However, if you're not well physically, wouldn't it be easier for them to win? You need to get your strength back and recover.

[Tohko sighed and shook her head.]

You're not. You keep moving around like you're drunk. If you hit your head on something and pass out, that's not going to help anything. I'll grab some medicine for you, so just let me take you back to your dorm room and rest.

I don't think I can take medicine.

[She probably can, but like hell she's taking it willingly.]

It's just something my body needs to deal with. Honest.

How come? And your body will deal with this much better if you're not moving around. What if you stumble again and wind up next to a monster or find yourself falling down a pit?

[She's not answering the medicine question, nope.]

It's just better if I'm moving, really. And besides, if I find a monster I'll just set it on fire, and if I'm falling down a pit I'll just teleport away!

But what if you get too sick to do those things? Then what?

[thebigsister]

[Eleanor chuckles wryly.]

I don't think it's possible for me to be too sick to teleport away.

But..what if you're wrong? It's better to be safe rather than sorry, right?

Don't worry, I know what I'm doing!

[She sounds terribly confident, save for the continuous swaying.]

But you keep looking like you're going to fall over at any time!

But I haven't actually fallen yet, right?

[Tohko sighed.]

No..but you could, and your condition could get worse.

Well, many things could happen, but you shouldn't let yourself worry so much about it that you end up doing nothing.

[Sound advice! For when you're not sick, that is.]

While that is good advice, I am trying to get you to rest in your dorm room. I'll bring you some things to keep your head occupied, and I'll even play Othello with you! Just..please, go and rest.

No, but I do rounds every day to see if anyone needs help and such.

[Because she's of so much help right now.]

Tell you what. I'll do your rounds for you if you go rest up. I like helping people, so you don't have to worry about me!

[Tohko gave her a puzzled look as she tapped her daggers. She was glad that she made that belt-it had come in handy.]

I can. I don't enjoy it, but I am capable. Why do you ask?
