Silent dormitory rooms are lined with bodies--not dead, just sleeping. Throughout the tower it is pitch black and silent. At the base of the tower, countless shining eyes, watching.
The tower hums to life. Lights blink on in one by one; only the dormitory rooms remain dark. A small army of blank-faced humanoids appear and spend the next ten minutes taking various positions around the tower.
An order given. The dormitory room lights blink on.
You are awake.
You can move.

"Definitely on the top of the list of strange things that have happened to me. But I suppose it's not every day I'd meet someone like you."

This, at least, was an exciting enough prospect to distract him from his confusion and unhappiness at being torn away from his home. After all, he might meet Batman or something.

Canada shrugged and glanced up at him, "You don't have to deal with me if I'm that bad."

But comics being real would be pretty cool!
"I guess. It'd be stupid if they didn't let you do country stuff, though."

Canada shrugged sheepishly and turned to the windows again, "I doubt it matters if the letters are true. If they aren't...then they have methods of capturing us from different worlds...and that's just as scary really."
