Silent dormitory rooms are lined with bodies--not dead, just sleeping. Throughout the tower it is pitch black and silent. At the base of the tower, countless shining eyes, watching.

The tower hums to life. Lights blink on in one by one; only the dormitory rooms remain dark. A small army of blank-faced humanoids appear and spend the next ten minutes taking various positions around the tower.

An order given. The dormitory room lights blink on.

Norway's Denmark-sense is also tingling and there's definitely someone calling her, but it's no voice she recognizes.

But she'll knock on the door anyway because she is not like Sweden.

Give him a bit to get over having his ass kicked by a girl. And then he goes to open the door, face going quickly from exhaustion to surprise to glee.

"Nor!! There ya--" And now his face falls, because that's not Nor. "Who are you?"

Norway considers him for a moment. He definitely feels like a country, but not one she knows. Though he seems to be asking for a "Nor."

"The Kingdom of Norway," she doesn't need to add Sweden in there right, "'n ya?"

Denmark tilts his head. That's an odd joke to tell someone.

"The Kingdom of Denmark. I'm lookin' for Norway, though, and yer not him."

She frowns at that. What reason would anyone have to say they're Denmark? Admittedly, she hasn't seen Denmark in a while, but she's fairly sure she wouldn't become male.

"You're lookin' for the wrong person, then," she straightens up and crosses her arms, "I've always been like this 'n Den's the same."

"What'd'ya mean Den's the same? I'm Den. And I know Nor just as well's I know me." There's a slight pause. "Ya do kinda look like him, though."

Ignoring the fact that he just said she looked like a guy, though it doesn't help her patience.

"You're just as annoyin', but that doesn't make ya Den."

You have matching hair and expressions of disdain, what do you expect him to think?

"But I am. I know I am. 'Ve always been."

This is annoying her, but she doesn't particularly understand why any country would pretend to be Denmark--it's not like she's in good shape at the moment or anything.

"'n what gender's Ice?"

"He's a guy. Our little brother. Same's Fin." Not mentioning Sweden, nope. Although he can assure you that the Sweden that already tried to kick his ass once today isn't the same Sweden who is usually trying to kick his ass.

She can fill in the left-out family member anyway.

While it seems stupid to her, she'll mention, "Different worlds, then. Where Den's a guy 'n so am I." That's not too horribly strange, considering they're now in a tower after their world has apparently been destroyed.

"Of course." Isn't that exactly what he's been saying, that him and Norway are guys.

"... Wait, different worlds? That's possible?"

"If ya read the letter, it says 'your'. Might imply there're more."

And now she's looking him up and down. "Disappointin', but she always is." Gosh Denmark, can't you even do being a guy right!

Ignoring that because clearly you don't know what a marvelous hunk of nation you're staring at, some-other-Denmark's-Nor.

"Ya don't really think our world are gone, do ya?"

"If our people died, we should've too." And she really hopes her people aren't dead.

"Even so, seems like we're stuck."

Denmark gives a nod, regarding her for a moment. Everything she says makes sense, in a horrible, twisted sort of way, but he doesn't know what they can do to make any sort of clarity out of the situation. He puts on a smile, deciding to reassure her anyway.

"Don't worry, Nor, I'll make sure ya get home."

And she rolls her eyes. Of course even as a guy, Denmark would be annoying.

"Worry about your other Nor 'n I'll worry about myself."

"But what if my Nor's not here?" That's a horrifying thought. "Yer Denmark would want me ta keep an eye out for ya."

"She doesn't do that on her own, so ya don't have to either. I'm independent." She assumes he would know this.

There's a beat. Denmark's reassuring smile goes away.

"No, yer not."

She wasn't really expecting that, so her face becomes angrier, but she still seems calm enough.

"I misheard ya." But she's not asking him to say it again.

"Yer not independent. Yer with me."

She seems to get a little more tense at that, angrier. But obviously he's just forgetting.

"Ya don't get to say that after ya try to hand me to Sweden."

He knows Nor well enough to tell he -- rather, she is angry at that, but it just frustrates him more. Sweden's a touchy subject, still, and the thought of him getting Norway is not a pleasant one.

"I've never done that and never would!"

"Just when do ya think it is?" He must have hit his head or something it was kind of important.
