Setting: Floor Six (until he realizes how dangerous it is), and then Floor Thirty-Two.
Format: You decide.
Summary: Luke needs warmer clothes and something other than nutrition bars to eat. Naturally, this leads to so much fail.
Warnings: Luke. Failing. AT EVERYTHING.

[There was a soft rustle from the underbrush on floor six, and if you looked closely, you might see a head of red hair snooping around. He's being surprisingly quiet for one so loud, and if you stick around long enough, you'll get to see why.]

[There's a few deer lurking around, minding their own business, and Luke is heading straight for them. He keeps himself quiet, waiting... and then he leaps from his hiding place, sword brandished and eyes squeezed shut as he aims to behead one of the deer...!]

[...but the deer are having none of that. One with a medium size rack of antlers snapped its head toward Luke, baring its teeth and letting out a dangerous, not-very-deer-like growl. He somehow fumbled in mid-air, landing on his butt as the other deer turned on him, letting out similar noises. A startled, "Meep!" escaped from him as he scooted back on his behind, before finally flailing up to his feet.]

[This was the second batch that did that! This was so not a nice forest!]

[Later on, on floor thirty-six, you'll get to see him doing much of the same... with the same amount of success. Clearly, Luke fails at this whole "hunting" thing, and needs a mentor (or someone to mock him).]

[She took only a moment to look over what he'd brought before choosing a knife, and getting to work. She briefly considered telling him not to look, but... Well, he'd see how it was done sooner or later.

She wasn't the most skilled, but she knew the process. And maybe it wasn't perfect, but the end result was a usable hide. Along with a gooey mess.]

[...oh god, lunch was threatening to eject itself.]

[...oh he's just going to be sick. Sorry, Tear, but he's running off to find a bush.]

[She didn't say anything to him, but simply waited for his return. His reaction wasn't nearly as bad as she had expected it to be, and really she could understand how he felt. She didn't enjoy the process either, but... You had to do what you could to survive, really.]

[She may not blame him, but that didn't keep Luke from looking insanely guilty as he came back.]

It's alright, but it's something you should get used to. Understanding how the things you use were made makes it harder to take them for granted.

[She gave her best shot at a comforting smile.]

[Luke turned a fresh shade of pink at that, looking a bit sheepish.]

[She laughed, but looked back at the skin quickly so as not to embarrass him too much.]

How much did you need?

[Luke flushed; oh... oh Tear laughed. At him, sure, but she laughed!]

U-uh... L-Lelouch said three or four would be enough.

[Her amusement was short lived. She was all blank slate when she looked to him once again.]

I'm not sure your sword can hold together for that many.

[sacred_flamer]

[Luke held up his sword, letting out a sigh as his eyes followed the crack in it.]

...yeah, you're right.

Without Artes, it isn't likely I can fight them on my own... If we had a rope, we could make a trap but...

A rope, hunh...

[Thinking...]

...what about some tied up bed sheets?

...That could work. But you would need sheets from more than one bed. I can't imagine anyone else wanting to give up their sheets for this.

[And here he was just going to take the blanket off Lelouch's bed...]

Didn't you say you had borrowed someone else's weapon before? Maybe you can do that again.

That's his sword that he lets me borrow for practice though. I don't want to bug him for it all the time.

Why don't you want his help? I suppose being a fonist is his strength, but he's suited for melee combat as well.

[Luke scrunched his face up, trying to think.]

...outside of borrowing your staff? Not really. I wouldn't want to leave you with just your knives anyway.
