Christmas curry~

Anyone near the kitchen would probably smell a delicious blend of spices, that made up Shion's special sweet curry. Earlier in the day, she had been surprised to find the basket of ingredients in her room (as well as something disturbing from home), and she wasted little time getting to the kitchen to prepare her specialty.

They didn't give her a while lot, but she's definitely be willing to share a portion or two with anyone tired of nutrition bars.

In the Library...

Shion stepped off the stairs quietly and surveyed the room.

"Allen? Jin?"

She had something small concealed in her hand, and she looked a little worried. She really hoped at least one of them would be there.

[She gave another little polite bow of her head.]

Have you been here long? In the tower, I mean.

[Jade finishes another mouthful of curry.]

Fortunately not. Only within the last few weeks.

Well, that's good at least. That's around how long I've been here.

[Not that she was minding being in the tower much these days, since all of her dead/lost friends were popping up. But...]

It's certainly... unique.

Unsettling is another. The Tower and concept of our being brought here is something else altogether.

[uzuki]

Yes. It's horrible isn't it? Keeping us all here, and lying about our homes.

I don't understand why someone would want to do that to so many people. And children too...

Yes...

But, from what I hear of the admins, that isn't a concern. From a scientific point of view... one needs to have all walks of life to complete a test.

[uzuki]

I just can't imagine what they could be trying to do. Or why they would practically torture us, then give us gifts as an apology.

[She sighed, looking down at her plate.]

Maybe it's better I don't understand.

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

It might be a psychological test.

[Jade thinks over another bite of curry.]

[uzuki]

But, KOS-MOS being here wouldn't make sense...

[She paused, then realized that wouldn't mean anything to him, most likely.]

She's an android. She really doesn't have any personality layer, so it wouldn't make sense to try to use her as a subject for a test like that.

She is an android from your world and technically a part of it. It still counts in in aspect of a psychological experiment...

[uzuki]

I guess... She was pretty important back home.

[She didn't like the idea that KOS-MOS might be used against her, again. Especially for something as stupid as someone's cruel experiment.]

Hmm..

[Jade seemed to lapse into thought again, a small frown creasing his lips.]

But, there's another thing that bothers me about her being here. If there was a way out, or any weakness... Anything that could be exploited, KOS-MOS could find it.

The fact that she's still here means, there really isn't any way to escape.

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

That I don't doubt..

[Though, he wants to meet this KOS-MOS friend.]

Honestly, some seems farce, but... One that's completely in their hands.

[uzuki]

Yes, and I think feeling so helpless is one of the worst parts of it. Even if we knew what they were planning, it might not even help us.

[Everyone should meet KOS-MOS~]

Knowing is only half the battle, after all.

I guess people have tried to fight the administrators... But I was told that they can nullify people's strengths, or powers, whenever they want to. I imagine it has something to do with these collars. But, however they do it, it clearly leaves us with a huge disadvantage.

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

Unfortunately so. It'll certainly take more than one brainstorm over curry to figure out a solution.

is he being a pessimist or saying he wants more curry? 8D

Probably. I heard people here were organizing groups to try to find answers, but. Well, maybe it's the cold that's discouraged people lately.

I'm not even going to lie he wants more curry.

You think so? I would have imagined they'd want more distractions. However, I have noticed many residents of the tower are sick. I'd imagine that's the cause of a lack of motivation.

[uzuki]

I think you may be right. I just recently recovered from a strange flu, myself.

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

Odd. I can imagine all sorts of things happening here but the flu seems almost harmless in comparison.

[uzuki]

Well, it wasn't like a normal flu. Not to me. I guess some other people experienced strange effects as well. I felt better when I woke up this morning though, and I received a note thanking me for participating in an experiment.
