Summary: Post-event fallout: Darkleer and Signless have things to talk about.

[Darkleer found the observation floor to be rather conductive to thinking. And oh, he had much to think about. Waking up with the horrifying memories of the past week did not put him in a particularly good mood. Normally he'd rather go to the workshop and tinker away with something - Tinkerer - but rather than indulge in that, he decided instead to stand by the glass, watching the grotesque creatures crawl about, trying in vain to intimidate him.

He stood by a corner, somewhat out of sight from the staircase, clad in robes rather than armor for once, arms folded behind his back. He was too tense to slouch, standing at full height, back rigid.]

[He turns his glance only for a moment to glance at him, before it returns to glance out upon the horizon. Or rather the metaphorical one.]

Is it necessary to ask such a question?

[A pause.]

[The question would almost make him hope he was the only one with memories of the week prior, but of course, hadn't he just called him by name a few moments prior? Darkleer lets out another slow, controlled breath, clearly calming himself down.]

[Yeah, let's just. Get this conversation over and done with so he can go hide in a different corner.]

[He lets out a short sigh.]

But I do think you wish to ignore the topic I speak of, like a rampant hoofbeast mucking about in the room.

[A pause.]

However if you are willing to speak about such a topic I would prefer to not do it in a setting such as this.

[He bites his tongue, literally, from snapping there's no such place in this tower, so he just nods tersely again.]

I suppose the library will suffice.

[Enough tables to flip there, anyway.]

I will meet you there, unless you wish to follow me. The choice is yours.

[He turned on his heel and headed for the door. There was a short pause as he turned to glance back at him.]

[Darkleer will take a moment to glare at Signless back because this eminently his fault obviously, and wallow on the thought of strangling the pesky mutant a little. Darkleer lets out a very soft, subdued growl in the back of his throat, before he starts following after Signless.

Silently, he wishes he could stop thinking in metaphors, and reading more than necessary, into the other's words.]

[He can't say that he isn't amused by the other. The subtle growl and tense demenor of his current follower was quite charming, maybe even pitiable. However there were other things concerning Signless and even if Darkleer wasn't all to willing, at least he would talk. Or so...the troll hoped.

It doesn't take them long to get to the library however. Signless by this point knew the way fairly well. Upon reaching their destination he finds a comfortable chair to sit in and motions for the other to find a place to sit.]

[Cranky, oh so cranky. But he supposes the sooner they get this ridiculousness out of the way, the sooner he'll be able to go hide back into his workshop and forget about it ever happened. Of course.

Darkleer takes a seat, folding his arms over his chest and ignoring the slight concern than the chair will simply give in under his weight. He's not precisely the most petite of trolls, after all. He arched an eyebrow at the man, waiting.

Because he was the one that wanted to talk, not him.]

[Oh yes he was the one that wanted to talk, but we all know that he talks a lot. Perhaps a change of tune is needed. In order to pass the torch, if you will, he gestures with a wave of his hand in the direction for the other to speak. Patiently he waited for the message to get across. His elbows rest on each side of the chair, hands coming to frame his face. While he stared up at the other, nothing but silence.]

[At this rate he's going to develop a tic, with the way the tendon along his neck keeps twitching irritably. The silence stretches for a moment as Darkleer stares at Signless, disbelieving. As it became clear, however that the damnable mutant was not going to break the silence first, Darkleer scoffed somewhat.]

If it is an apology you wish, for my appalling behavior the past few days, you needed only ask for it.

[It's a start...he guesses.]

No, not an apology. In fact I do not fear, regret, or hide from what happened. If anything I just want to talk about it.

[As quickly as he spoke, the silence only returned soon after.]

[He arched both eyebrows, making no secret to hide his surprise at such bold proclamation, but as soon as the silence settled again, Darkleer began to realize that the man was going to be difficult about things. After a long stretch of silence, he allowed himself to rub at his face, exasperated.]

One needs to speak, in order to talk about things.

[I mean, in case Signless had missed the memo.]

Yes I agree that one should speak in order to discuss things.

[His expresion soured at that. Okay...yes he deserved it.]

[He clears his throat and turns his gaze away from Darkleer. Biting his thumb to distract himself, or was that some subtle insult? May we never know.]

[MOAR SILENCE THEN. More irritating, annoying, exasperating silence. Seriously, Signless, he's going to break something if you keep this shit up, son.]

[Wasn't it always that he wished for Signless to be quiet. How was it now that he wanted him to talk. He let out a short snort and slowly turned his gaze to look at him and then glanced back to the wall.]

[You're not gonna win this... silence... glaring... contest... thing they're in now. You will not! You cannot out-silence a Zahhak, Signless. You just bloody can't.]

[He will try and just so that he isn't entirely bored, the drumming of his fingers begins along the arm of the chair.]
