Player Plot: KOS-MOS rampage.

Characters: KOS-MOS ([personal profile] kosmic_angel) and everyone she’s going to kill.
Setting: All over the tower, your choices. Today only!
Format: prose to start but I’ll switch
Summary: Shion and Allen tried to build KOS-MOS a maintenance bed and it has some… unexpected difficulties. Like KOS-MOS going Archetype mode and killing everyone in sight. RUN!
Warnings: There’s going to be a lot of dying and it’s going to get gory.

When KOS-MOS had laid down in the makeshift maintenance bed that had been built for her, she hadn‘t expected anything to happen but for her power cells to be recharged like they normally would be. That, unfortunately, was not the case.

Upon waking, her systems had been… altered. Currently, all life signs were marked as hostile and her recognition software had been shutdown. Profiles of each individual she had met in the tower were sealed and she could access them. Priority programming went to combat and eliminating everything marked as a threat. She climbed out of the maintenance bed and used her transfer system to summon her scythe into existence.

And then she stalked out into the halls, visor down and blocking sight of her face and eyes. KOS-MOS walks normally, acts normal really, until she finds someone who is marked as a target. Meaning anyone and everyone.

A mere blade? Hojo clearly was trying to goad him and it wasn't a welcome distraction. Though a warning? Unexpected. Sephiroth doesn't have any so-called 'energy' attacks due to the lack of materia he had been brought here with. He does however have an expert hand at the sword and that paired with his innate telekinesis has always been more than suitable for survival here. Ignoring what had happened with Hei, that is.

Sephiroth was ready for the next attack to come in with the blade from the android but then at the last moment it switched; the longer range of the scythe guaranteed KOS-MOS first blood. Sephiroth had gone to dodge backwards and had lent enough back that her sword swipe would have missed but the scythe proceeded to rip a hot, deep gouge up from the bottom of one side of his ribcage to the opposite pectoral before it's blade tore itself free of flesh. Sephiroth spun to the side with the blow but buried the nausea that rose as blood started to well up, already he knew that his own regeneration would stem the bleeding long before it would get fatal.

Wasting no time, Sephiroth extended a hand toward KOS-MOS and forced a great wave of telekinesis in a push motion towards the android. Powerful enough that most of anything in it's path would be flung backwards across a room. In the same super fast instance, Sephiroth's legendary black wing erupted from his right shoulder as he left the ground by only a foot or so - before using one potent beat of the same to propel him in a dash to follow the psychic wave. Masamune aimed for an impale once he'd gotten close enough.

The warning shot barely missed Hojo. He could remember the pain of his previous deaths quite clearly. It wasn't that he sought them out. No, he didn't want to die, and he didn't relish pain, but sometimes his research was more important. He wanted to see the outcome of this battle. The sword, unlike Sephiroth, wasn't of his design, so he didn't care much for it.

He didn't bother to offer Sephiroth his assistance when he was injured, even though he had Materia capable of healing him. Sephiroth didn't and shouldn't need his help.

He continued to watch the battle. He was pleased when the wing manifested itself. He could feel Jenova's cells, aware of his connection to his son. He took his own handgun out, though he was well aware it would do little good, based on what he knew about the android. He would defend himself, at least.

"That's better. Don't let your guard down. It's very dangerous, a technology beyond our own."

Sephiroth aborted the impaling attack the moment he saw KOS-MOS flip over him. He turned and used his wing to stop his momentum and tried to adjust his attack to slash at the android as she went over him; just out of range. It stretched the healing chest wound into bleeding anew, this caught his attention and Sephiroth had to pause for just a moment to urge his cells to fix it quicker; he couldn't afford to give in to the urge to wipe at it even if a new red river started to run between the grooves in his muscled form.

He'd never come to the gym without his armor again.

All this meant that, at KOS-MOS' range, there wasn't any dodging multiple shots from a chain gun as KOS-MOS began to lace Sephiroth's back up with bullets. Though he certainly wasn't going to just stand and take that. He was especially spurred on by the more-painful handful that would shred right the way through his torso rather than becoming lodged. Within seconds waves of bullets would be batted away with a feathered wing beat-come-telekinetic combination. Loose black feathers dropped to the floor under the torrent of bullets caught in the meantime.

His back (indeed most of his torso) was now a colorful stain of red, black feathers at one shoulder and silver hair plastered to his skin. An angry and still-bleeding Sephiroth spun and launched at the chain gun, he had to disable that with Masamune next; he put additional telekinetic force behind that swipe, he couldn't afford it to continue to put additional holes in him, despite having to take the couple that would pop him in the chest as he attacked. Naturally his body would work quickly to close open wounds (bullets would have to be forced out later on!) but they bled as heavily as could be expected when new.

Sephiroth also could feel that the limit of the regeneration he could achieve while still occupied in a fight was being pushed against now. More reason for that gun to be taken out of the equation quickly.

It was an impressive battle, although he was sorry to see that Sephiroth was still on the losing end of it. Nevertheless, Sephiroth's endurance and performance were impressive. It was a shame that this android's technology was so much more advanced than that of Shinra. Not that that was his fault. Robotics weren't his department.

He might as well offer a little assistance. He could see that Sephiroth's wounds were healing, but they were extensive. Too extensive. Using his Restore Materia, he cast Cure 3 on him. "You can win this, if you persevere. Don't disappoint me. Show me your full power." It was hard for Hojo to keep his mouth shut. He didn't want to see Sephiroth lose again. He hated failure.

His gun was cocked, ready to fire. In more than one way, as it was also equipped with Fire Materia.

There it was, that familiar tingle of Cure magic. In a fleeting moment of slow-motion, Sephiroth mid-launch could feel a great sigh as multiple injuries sped up in their regeneration. He didn't register Hojo's words however; what happened next happened all too fast.

Lightning met his attack first, stopping him suddenly with it's voltage. All too familiar to how Hei had attacked him before, it felt like it was scorching Sephiroth's insides a while before it earthed; cracking between sword and around inside his armor.

Two heavy heartbeats later and he was falling. R-BLADE slid up out of no where and into his ribs as if he was it's natural sheath. Sephiroth could do nothing but watch with horror as (in slow-motion to him) he could feel and watch every inch of the blade making it's hole in him. Oddly he didn't feel the pain, the voltage having deadened the nerves. Or more likely he was in shock.

Masamune dropped to the floor as Sephiroth swooned with the near-fatal damage, though she'd missed his heart by a fraction - he could acutely feel it scraping with every frantic beat that was thickly now pounding in his ear. He could taste copper. Both hands quickly, though clumsily groped at the entry wound and somewhat drowsily the large black wing was flapping to try and get leverage to pull him back off of the blade. It was molting feathers heavily.

Hojo had no resistance to lightning. When it struck him, it was full on and without any mitigating effect. Not that he reacted like an ordinary human. His body mutated when struck: not like Sephiroth's, but with a burst of spikes and swells and appendages, the Jenova cells within him reacting virulently to the damage as the human cells were killed off.

When the mutation was done and the lightning strike faded, he was somehow still living, though he bore little resemblance to the man of moments ago, his lab coat in tatters and his body a writhing mass. He lurched forward, mindlessly, dying, but slowly. There was little left in him that was human.

The wing vanished out of existence in a small explosion of feathers as Sephiroth hit the floor. He could feel the vast amount of blood flooding from deep inside of him. He glanced down as far as he could through the cloudiness fuzzing the edges of his vision and verified exactly how bad that wound was. Every fiber of his being pulsed painfully as Sephiroth tried to take a breath to re-focus with - but even that was now labored.

He'd saw enough to register that the thing that had wounded him so mortally now had Masamune in it's grasp and was coming for him. The last thing Sephiroth felt was a deep, cold sting as she thrust the point of his own legendary blade into that space that she'd just missed the fist time.

Masamune would itself vanish just a few moments after his death, leaving nothing but his body in a pool of blood, feathers and stained silver hair.
