Summary: Lucifel's first day in the tower, he awakens to find out that there is something not quite right with him...
Warnings: None at the moment.

[Sleeping was something Lucifel has never done before in his life since he was created by God. So it's a great surprise for him to find himself lying in a bed and especially being somewhere that is neither Heaven nor Earth. Well, as surprised as he could be.

When he was finally able to move he feels the collar around his neck, trying with all his strength to get it off but fails. Not even a second later his eyes are staring at himself. Heaven, whoever made him wear this suit has not even the slightest sense for fashion... where are his clothes anyways? His cellphone seems to be gone as well.

The archangel then notices two letters, both were directed at him. The one that said that his home world got destroyed just got a look of disbelief from him. Sure, whatever makes the one who sent this happy. The other he found just as hard to believe. Then again, who would make such a joke?

At least one thing was true. The trunk had all of his belongings inside, his clothes, which he quickly changed back into, and even his cellphone. Said phone is shut off for a reason unknown to him and he couldn't make it work either. He would figure something out later and slides his phone into the right back-pocket of his jeans.

Lucifel lifts his left hand, he wouldn't stay here longer than necessary, then flicks his fingers to get himself home.

Nothing happens.]

You must be kidding me...

[He gives it one, two, three more tries and he is still here. Alright. Looks like he is forced to take a look around.

Honestly, he is not amused.]

Meridian was the same...Armaros was there...

*No, Enoch, don't choke up...* ...he was from after our mission, as well.

[Now that was... interesting. More than interesting.]

*Enoch nods, taking a deep breath to keep the tears back. The moment he first woke up in the ruins of Meridian may have become pushed to the back of his mind, but he still remembered what he did for most of it: lie on the beach, after burying Armaros.*

He was.

*And he will be forever, now.*

[... Okay, Enoch seems upset, that much he can tell from just looking at the scribe. If he says the wrong thing now then he will cry and Heaven help him, he can't deal with crying humans.

For once it might be better to just switch the topic and not pursue this any further. Compared to some other angels, he isn't as tactless. but what topic to switch to?

His stomach does this for him by growling. And no, that look of surprise isn't faked.]

*That snaps Enoch out of the beginnings of mourning, too.*

You're...hungry? *he asks, sounding as if he can't quite believe it, himself.*

[He isn't the only one. Lucifel is pretty much in denial here.]

No way, it's impossible.

[And his stomach makes yet another sound.]

I've never heard your stomach make a noise like that, though... Do you feel uncomfortable?

*If you really are hungry you're being dragged down the the cafeteria just so you know.*

Enoch, I can't be hungry, I've never been hungry before in my entire life.

[That's a lot of doubt in his voice. Maybe even a little bit of panic. He's an Archangel. He never gets hungry.]

*Enoch sucks in a little air through his teeth at the evident doubt, so foreign in Lucifel's voice.*

Lucifel...it will be fine.

[He stares down to his stomach, placing his hands on it. This feeling is more than alien to him.]

*Enoch steps forward and takes one of Lucifel's hands, trying to comfort him.* Come, I'll show you where we're provided with food.

... This is ridiculous.

[His free hand tightens into a fist.]

*He notices that, knows how it must feel. To someone who doesn't need it, hunger is either a non-issue or a weakness. And for Lucifel to suddenly have a new vulnerability...*

Lucifel... *He gives his guardian's hand a squeeze before releasing it.*

[Yes, it's a weakness and to him it comes close to losing His favor or falling even. If there then did they have to deal with this as well?]

What? Are you going to pity me?

You're my friend, Lucifel. Of course I don't like seeing you in distress.

*Sometimes angels need certain things spelled out for them. He never really lost that impression.*

[Why Enoch, he's more that sure that you are calling him a friend - directly - for the first time.]

*...They need certain things that would be intuitive to humans spelled out too, apparently.*

*...It's kind of endearing.*

[In all honesty, he has no real idea of what to say to this or how to react to this.]

You were going to show me something.

[warriorscribe]

*He doesn't really understand, Enoch can see that much. He gestures for Lucifel to come with him and starts walking towards the elevator.*

Why wouldn't we be friends? We've traveled together for three hundred years. You've been there for me when I needed you and, should the situation arise, I would do the same.

[Well, of course he had been there for him the whole time. They had been on a mission and aside from that Enoch is a good guy. Lucifel follows him to the elevator, his arms crossed.]

You have a point.

*It may have been his duty, but Enoch still felt close to him now. Perhaps it was misplaced, perhaps it wasn't. It was there, for good or bad.

Enoch leads him inside and hits the button for the first floor - it'll be a somewhat long ride considering they're going from the top to the bottom, and he smiles back at him.*

It will be all right. Even if it's new for you, it isn't so bad.

[It might take a while for him to realize that Enoch actually is a friend to him. He is familiar with the concept but he wouldn't know how it feels, there hasn't been anyone he would have called a friend ever before.

Long ride or not, it won't help to change his mood.]

Eating can be enjoyable. Not so much the first meal here, but...except for Jason's and...on occasion, Ruana's, the meals here aren't bad at all.

[In all honesty, he is far from being thrilled over having to eat at all.]

*Enoch puts a hand on Lucifel's shoulder as the elevator reaches the first floor, and he walks out beside him. It won't be long before a drone approaches with oatmeal, having spotted the newcomer. Enoch lets it set the bowl before his guardian and watches it walk away, back to its duties.*

This oatmeal adjusts your stomach so you can eat the other things here. Otherwise, everything else will make you ill...and I don't believe you want to experience that. It is bland, but it's filling, and it's the only bowl you'll need to eat.
