Characters: Yotsuba Koiwai and you!
Setting: Outside room 02-07.
Format: Starting with prose, but I'll match you.
Summary: Yotsuba has just woken up, and she's looking for her Daddy and dealing with the Tower.
Warnings: She might end up crying if you're a bit too rough with her. Or you might scare her with birds and bird-like objects.

Yotsuba blinked her eyes open as she started to wake up and sat up. This place wasn't her room..and Daddy wasn't in bed beside her. And this white ou-..outfit weren't her pajamas. Ignoring the notes that lay on her trunk, Yotsuba ran out of bed and, slamming the door open, ran out into the halls.

"Daddy!? Daddy?!! Where are you?"

She smiles.

"Like this one, the ones with the rooms where everyone sleeps."

[sunflowerfairy]

Yotsuba kept smiling, but she didn't quite get it.

"..Are there different levels here? And..where is Yotsuba?"

[fiesta_de_los_muertos]

"Yes! There are a lot of levels!! The last time I checked there were more than a hundred."

But how to explain to Yotsuba that she's in a different universe where everyone ends up in horrible experiments periodically.

"It's called the Tower."

[sunflowerfairy]

"A hundred?! Did the guvernment build the Tower?! And how did Yotsuba get here?!"

That just..surprised Yotsuba even more.

[fiesta_de_los_muertos]

"I don't know if the guvernment build it, I think it's been around for a long time though. You just woke up here, like everyone else."

Because it wouldn't be nice to tell a little girl that her world is destroyed.

[sunflowerfairy]

"But..Yotsuba fell asleep in her bed.."

This really wasn't helping. She just looked even more confused and distraught.

"And you woke up here? Don't worry about it, that's how it happened for a lot of people."

She has no idea if that's true.

[sunflowerfairy]

"Did bad people kidnap a lot of people while they were asleep?!"

[fiesta_de_los_muertos]

"They did."

There's no point in trying to hide that fact.

"But you don't have to be scared! Most of the people here aren't bad people."

[sunflowerfairy]

Most didn't mean all. Yotsuba looked at Arada suspiciously, like one might eye a lion and trying to figure out whether it's going to eat them or fall back asleep.

"Are you a bad person?"

"I don't think so."

[sunflowerfairy]

And Yotsuba would just smile warmly at Arada. Trusting little maroon, yes, but in this case, she wouldn't be wrong.

"That's good! What a relief!"

[fiesta_de_los_muertos]

"Let's go look for your daddy then."

She leads Yotsuba by the hand on their way to the stairs.

"Okay!"

Yotsuba followed Aradia, smiling happily. As she walked out, she called out cheerfully. Even though she had been told that her father might not be here, she was confident that she would find him.

"Daddy?!~ Where are you?!"

Aradia gripped Yotsuba's hand tightly, she really hoped the girl's father was here but the chances were pretty slim. From what she had seen a lot of people had only come here from their own universe alone or in small groups. Sometimes not even recognizing each other.

"Is there anyone else you want to look for, while we search for your Daddy? Do you have any other family members who could be here?"

[sunflowerfairy]

Yotsuba, in return, tightly held Arada's hand. Not at tightly as the other woman, but she wasn't letting go anytime soon.

"..Yotsuba doesn't have any other family!"

[fiesta_de_los_muertos]

Well that seems reasonable. All the humans she knows have small families, and it doesn't seem the kind of subject to ask about.

"And no one else? Any friends?"

[sunflowerfairy]

Not that Yotsuba would know how to answer her if she did ask about it.

"Jumbo is Yotsuba's friend! And Fuka and Ene..and Asagi!"

[fiesta_de_los_muertos]

"We should keep an eye out for them as well!"

Or, Yotsuba should. Aradia obviously has no idea what they look like.

At that, Yotsuba nodded, still smiling.

"Yotsuba will!"

And she then went back to searching for her father.

"Daddy?! Where are you?!~"

At least she sounded chipper..

But for how long? They wander around a bit, running into a lot of people looking confused, but no one matching Yotsuba's description of her daddy. And seeing as she isn't reacting to anyone else, probably none of her friends either.

Aradia really hates that she has to break this to her.

"I don't think your Daddy is here."

Well, that stops Yotsuba in her tracks. She had been expecting to find Daddy..but she couldn't quite understand why he wasn't showing up. Or why he wouldn't be here. She looked..more than a little confused and distressed.

"But..why not? I went to bed with Daddy.."

[fiesta_de_los_muertos]

She leans down to be on eye-level with Yotsuba, trying her best to look cheerful for the young girl.

"Maybe he'll come a bit later! Some of my friends aren't here yet either."

[sunflowerfairy]

Sadly, Yotsuba did not look as cheerful. She wasn't crying or anything, but she was sad and..puzzled.

"Maybe...but why isn't he here? Yotsuba was sleeping right next to him!"

Well, at least that's something.

"Not everyone gets here at the same time."
