9th Recipe - Surprise Banquet [Open]

Summary: Kazumi is running around trying to cook things for all the newcomers so they don't have to just eat what's on the menu! Also, stocking up the other kitchen

[Cafeteria]

[A young girl with short hair is hurrying in and out of the kitchen, greeting various people and coming back out with various dishes. Anyone who isn't seated and eating yet, she'll approach, or if she knows you, she'll approach anyway! Newcomer or Tower Resident, she wants to make sure everyone can have what they want - the menu's not that bad this month, but everyone always has different preferences, right? Though, all the guests have to make sure they have their oatmeal first!]

Hi! Are you hungry? What can I get for you?

[Cafeteria Kitchen]

[There's about eight different things cooking in here at any one time as Kazumi runs in and out and cooks various things while working around the staff. She's doing surprisingly well considering how much is going on! But she looks like she's about to run herself ragged...]

[Floor 60 - Deluxe Kitchen]

[Later in the day, one might find Kazumi here... there's an enormous pile of foods here, mostly things like sacks of flour and sugar and so on, but also vegetables and fruits and meat. It looks like she basically stole everything out of the cafeteria...]

Ummm, now how to organize this...?

So...you're her vassal, little knight? You've got some good luck, landing such an honorable lord.

Eheh, well, as her cook anyway, not a knight. She actually prefers if I don't fight...

But yeah, I'm really glad to work for her.

[puppy_lancer]

So she has her own cook...

[He chuckles.]

Should have expected that. I bet you make her meals worthy of a king.

Mm, yeah! Eheh, or at least, that's what she says they are. I just do my best!

So what days are you down at the kitchen? I might want to try some of that cooking which can delight Saber.

Um, well pretty much most days! A lot of the time I'm just cooking for her though, but I like to help people out who are sick of the cafeteria meals being the same every day.

[puppy_lancer]

Sounds like a busy life. But, if you won't mind helping me or this kid I know out, I'd like to get her a good meal that doesn't involve the restaurant.

[starofpleiades]

Oh, yeah, I'd love to! That's part of why... I know some people might be tempted to try the restaurant, but from what I've heard, it's just too dangerous!

[puppy_lancer]

Tell me about it. I hear it costs you body parts.

[But he still has those two free tickets and...]

Really? Wow, that's even scarier than I thought... I hope no one's done that without knowing... or even with.

[puppy_lancer]

I know some people who made a habit of it during January's experiment...but I haven't caught anyone doing it otherwise. Guess that's a good thing.

[starofpleiades]

Maybe we should make some announcements or something... I think there's a lot of us who can hunt or gather food from various floors and those that can prepare them, so there shouldn't be any need to do something like that!

[puppy_lancer]

Sounds like a good idea. I'd definitely be up for helping hunt.

Thanks, that'd be a great help! There's a lot of storage space here - um, though be careful! It looks like you can't open the walk-in freezer from the inside.

[puppy_lancer]

[He nods.]

I'll watch out for that.

[Though he might be able to phase out of the freezer in spirit mode if he tried...]

Eheh, thanks. And just spread the word I guess! We can use all the help we can get keeping it stocked, I'll probably be going between the cafeteria and this floor for cooking things.

If you want, I can carry the stuff for you too. It'll take fewer trips if I'm doing it.

[starofpleiades]

Mm, yeah! I kind of had to cheat to get this much up here, so having someone else help would be great.

[puppy_lancer]

...Wait, how did you cheat?

[starofpleiades]

Eheh, well... I used magic to help carry this much. I'm not really supposed to though.

[puppy_lancer]

[He raises an eyebrow.]

What's wrong with using magic?

Um, well... if I use it too much, my Soul Gem grows darker, and then I'll have to go see Enoch again to get it cleaned.

[puppy_lancer]

Soul Gem?

[That sounds a little...ominous.]

[starofpleiades]

Um, well, it's the source of all my magic, so I have to be careful with conserving my power.

[It wasn't... exactly a lie? She doesn't want him worrying more]

Ah.

[That's understandable.]

You know what, I'll get more of my kind to help out. I'm sure between all of us, we can solve the transport problem.
