Setting: Dormitory hallways, cafeteria, floor 49 (mirror maze).
Format: Action.
Summary: Kidou goes missing. Guess who doesn't take it particularly well after her search for him turns up nothing.
Warnings: Nothing for the first prompt, for the second one gore, use of a chainsaw. Possible harm for characters but not very likely, see the ooc note!

( dormitories or cafeteria )

[ It doesn't matter what you're doing - standing around or sitting and eating in the cafeteria or just passing through either of the locations - but there's still a teenage girl that will try to stop you by tugging on your sleeve, more insistent if you don't slow down or stop. If you do, though, she'll hold up a (pretty poorly drawn) picture of a young boy. She doesn't say any other word, as if that already should be enough to prompt a reaction.. ]

( floor fourty-nine )

[ It's useless. At first she thought he might be staying away after what happened last month, but after a while it became unbearable and she had to seek him out. But it didn't seem like he was anywhere - not in his room, not on any of the floors, not seen by anyone. She's been looking for a day or two or more - it's difficult to even keep count of it by now in the middle of her mental panic. Because Kidou not being in the tower means that he isn't around anymore, that he left, that he isn't with her-- and that thought breaks her more than anything else ever could.

She doesn't even know what to do. Completely mindless she drags herself up the tower until she arrives at the mirror maze, standing still for a moment and staring at her own reflection in the mirror. She isn't sure why, she doesn't even think, but somehow it annoys her, that reflection. Her standin there, all alone-- normally it doesn't bother her, but right now..

Urotsuki gets out her chainsaw.

.. If a character walks onto the floor later they might find a broken mirror near the entrance of the floor. Trails of blood and monster parts are spread out onto the floor if you go in and look through the maze, maybe with another one or two slightly broken mirrors. The sound of a buzzing chainsaw becomes louder and louder the further you get in, and maybe eventually you'll reach Urotsuki - standing in the middle of the maze with monsters around her, lik they're attracted to her. She's covered in scrapes and cuts from the mirror's pieces and with whatever parts came off the monsters too. Almost emotionlessly (but in a different way from her usual blankness, this is much more cold) she cuts cleanly down the middle of a monster with her chainsaw, seemingly the last one. For now, though, they've already been coming for quite a while.

( ooc: as a note, it's not very likely that Urotsuki will harm people who tag into the second prompt unless they're being an absolute asshole, but if you want to be on the safe side then please tag the first one instead, thanks! )

[ She shoots another monster that's getting too close to Urotsuki for comfort without any hesitation. Obviously, whatever she said about not knowing how to defend herself was a lie. Though that was probably the last thing Urotsuki is thinking about. ]

Let's get you the frak out of here. We can treat whatever wounds you have once we're to saftey.

[ Amberley walks towards Urotsuki, reaching her hand out to grab her by the arm and drag her away. ]

[ She does let Amberley grab her arm like that, although she doesn't allow herself to be dragged away. Instead it's like she tries to dig her heels into the floor to stop herself from being pulled like that, and she shakes her head just a little bit. ]

I don't want to go. Where are you taking me..? Are you going to take me to Yuuto? That's okay, but-- [ She holds her chainsaw in the hand of her free arm even now, as if she doesn't dare to make it disappear. ] .. if you're not, then I don't want to leave.. let me stay..

[hegantha]

[ Amberley gives her a confused look for all of about two seconds. Then she lets go of the girl, spinning around so that her body is between her and the monsters.

Yes, her back is actually towards Urotsuki. This is a huge deal, Amberley barely trusts anyone enough to show her back to them like this. It's a sign of trust.

She puts two more bolts into a nearby monster but there's still plenty more where that came from. ]

I don't know who that is, but do you really think they'd want you getting killed like this? [ Amberley's voice has risen. She's still in control, but she sounds quite urgent. ] Life has more value than that.

[chainsawn]

[ It's a good thing that Amberley is covering for her like that, either way. Not that Urotsuki has a problem with fighting, but the words.. it's like they confuse her. She didn't expect to face anyone while she was fighting here, she was ready to just throw herself and everything away and have it be over like that. So she freezes up, just staring lifelessly at the back in front of her.

Instead of her expectations this woman is here, covering for her, telling her she shouldn't. .. Why..? ]

Yuuto's.. not here. He's gone.. [ Somehow those words carry more despair in them than anything else. ] So then it doesn't matter.. nothing.. matters anymore.

[hegantha]

[ Amberley keeps shooting, defending Urotsuki while she takes time to process everything. ]

Look, try thinking about his point of view. He might be gone, but frak, what do you think he'd do if he heard you say that?

[chainsawn]

[ "He might be gone." It echoes through her head, again and again, and her own realisation only settles in even more. He might be gone. He might be gone forever. She might not be able to see him ever again, Yuuto, her Yuuto..

The chainsaw disappears from her hands, and instead they uselessly grab at her own hair, practically tearing at it. She wouldn't be concerned about the monsters even if Amberley wasn't protecting her at this point, really, all she can do is let out a miserable cry. ]

He's gone-- b.. bring him back.. bring him back..!

[hegantha]

[ Frak this. She's going to try to pick Urotsuki up bridal style and just run away. ]

(ooc: Urotsuki has permission to hack Amberley with her chainsaw if Jelle thinks that's what she should do! I leave it in your hands. )

[chainsawn]

[ There's no coordinated attack in response. At least, not yet - she's much too surprised by what's going on, she hardly even knows what's happening even when she's already in Amberley's arms. She flails her arms a little, at least more safely now the chainsaw is gone. ]

What-- [ Her voice raises out of its usual quiet blankness, moving towards screams. Tears even start to well up in her eyes. ] N.. no..! Don't..! Put me down, let me go, I.. I just want to go to where Yuuto is..!

[hegantha]

He isn't here, and I'm not letting you die on my watch, kid.

[ She just has to get Urotsuki to safety. That's all. Ideally to Amberley's room so she can treat her wounds and try to comfort her. Luckily Urotsuki's wiggling doesn't make her drop her thanks to Amberley's increased strength.

If Urotsuki doesn't interfere, Amberley will start to make her way through the crowd of monsters. Though in order to do this with both hands occupied, she'll have to run through, and if Urotsuki were to struggle any harder she'd probably get dropped. ]

[chainsawn]

[ Well, she sure is going to try. Sorry, Amberley, but she's just going to continue flailing until she gets dropped, no matter how much her body already hurts and aches from the wounds and cuts she's gotten from both monsters and the mirror. ]

Let.. let me go..!

[hegantha]

[ Amberley accidentally drops Urotsuki, letting her roll to the ground. She responds by instantly taking back out her bolt pistol and unleashing hell on the nearest monsters. ]

I'm gonna run out of shots at this rate! Either we both die, or we get out of here alive and you live to see your Yuuto again someday.

[chainsawn]

[ There's a groan the moment she hits the floor, her wounds and pain only being emphasized by it. But it's actually a good thing, isn't it? Maybe if she gets hurt even more, she'll stop feeling. .. Yeah, no more feeling things.. that sounds good.

But then there's her talking, Amberley's words somewhere beyond the haze, only vaguely audible.

(She doesn't even bother getting up from the ground.) ]

You.. don't have to die, right..? You have something to live for, right..? So.. you shouldn't be here.

[hegantha]

I already said I'm not leaving without you, solider.

[ She's slipping back into military-speak as she whips out her bolt pistol and shoots another two monsters. One lunges for her and she ducks, kicking it in the stomach and then landing a shot under it's jaw, aimed at the monster's brain. ]

[chainsawn]

[ Not.. leaving without her. It's.. strange. So strange, to have someone care that much, to have someone saying that. She thinks of the pods almost a year ago, she thinks of Tara and how she sacrificed herself for everyone, for her-- no..

Urotsuki scrambles to her feet, her chainsaw appearing in her hands, her eyes wild - almost like an animal's. Honestly, she's more occupied with Amberley than with the animals. ]
