Finally, another party

Format: Anything goes
Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.

[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]

[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

Well, anytime you need to feel safer, my bed is open. Just...ignore the blue-haired lump on the other side. I swear even if it sounds like a monster sometimes, it's not.

[Diarmuid gives him a wide-eyed innocent look that it totally ruined by the smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.]

I am not implying anything, my friend. What are you implying?

Of course not, of course not. My mistake. But if you aren't implying anything, then I must ask if you are feeling okay, because you usually don't stutter so and I am fairly certain your face is not usually so red...

[Diarmuid turns and winks at him.]

What were you implying?

Keep that up and I'll just hoard all the alcohol like a goddamned squirrel and not share any with you.

Well, you would at least be a cute squirrel. I mean, look at that tail.

[He reaches out and flips some of Waver's hair.]

Such a nice, well taken care of tail...

Okay, this metaphor's gone quite far enough!

[Diarmuid puts up his hands defensively, gaze dropping to the side.]

...oh, goddammit, Diarmuid.

[Sighing, Waver brought a hand to his head.]

I'm not really angry. I just...I don't know, I'm an idiot.

[Diarmuid shakes his head, letting his hands drop.]

No, I know you aren't angry, and I'm not upset... I just... It's force of habit, I guess. Still trying to break that one.

[He smiles slightly.]

Just be patient a little longer.

You'll have to be patient with me, too. I've never really had friends I could screw around with like this, so I don't know the right way to react half the time.

It's all right. I do understand...at least as much as I can not having been in your situation.

[Though he had felt it thanks to their memory swap. That loneliness still surfaces in his nightmares sometimes feeding so strongly into his own fear of being alone.]

We just need to keep practicing, right? As odd as that might sound...

No, you're right. We'll figure it out, somehow.

[Diarmuid drops his arm around Waver's shoulders.]

For now lets just have fun the ways we know how. Are you sure you don't want anything a little stronger than that tea?

Maybe later. It's been too long since I was just able to enjoy a half-decent cup of tea.

Unless you're trying to get me drunk for whatever reason.

Well, honestly, if you are drunk and my brother succeeds in getting me drunk as he seems to be trying so hard to do, then at the very least you won't be able to blame me for any headaches you have...
