Finally, another party
Characters: ProtoLancer
puppy_lancer, Zero Lancer
oathshackledbird and anyone interested in attending a birthday party. Details here.
Setting: Meadow
Format: Anything goes
Summary: Lancer throws his brother a party. Everyone can come except for the Archer (meaning they can come crash the party anyways)! Feel free to tag into any of the threads set up or invent your own scenario.
Warnings: None yet!
[It had taken some preparing, but the party was finally set up in a satisfactory way. There was a table for food and drink dragged in from the cafeteria, a wooden bucket filled with water with fruit floating in it, a strange paper mache Jason head pinata stacked on a scarecrow body, and a board with a pig with a Ganon head scribbled on it along with several spiraling paper "tails" attached to thumbtacks. There are no party decorations, but Lancer figures the flowers and sunshine should be decoration enough.]
[Now it's just a matter of waiting for people to show up.]

He feels a flicker of fear at Gilgamesh's question and wonders if he should call for Lancelot. He knows how dangerous this Servant is.]
No... but I wish you wouldn't.
[He hopes that doesn't count as "telling him what to do". He simply doesn't want to be manhandled.]
no subject
So. If I were to continue, how much longer would it take before your little bugs showed up?
[He sounds so nonchalant, still watching those twitching veins.]
no subject
They wouldn't. My Servant would.
[That's right, he has a Servant, and he's not afraid to use him.]
no subject
My Servant. Confirmation that there was indeed a Master-Servant bond.]
How boring.
[His interested tone belies his words, and he grips Kariya's hand a little harder against his own veined cheek. Just a little nudge.]
Well now you've done it, Lancelot will enter the thread!
Berserker--
[His Servant might not be under Mad Enhancement now, but Kariya doesn't want to reveal his identity if he doesn't have to.
Still trying to pull away, he turns to look for Lancelot, who can't have gone too far.]
Have At You.
He vanishes from his chosen spot only to reappear at his Master's side, armored, but as yet unarmed.
Archer. He might have known. The sight of the other Servant grappling with his Master in such a way is an unwelcome one to say the least.
When he speaks, his voice echoes within his helm.]
Archer. If you would keep them, take your hands from my Master.
Look at that. A reunion of sorts!
Well, well. Now I know who holds the sane Berserker's leash. How nice of you to join us!
[If not for the contrast between his expression and the distress he had blatantly caused, it may have seemed like a rather innocent greeting.]
no subject
He's my partner. [He just can't agree with anything Archer says, and it's not as if he's that kind of Master. He and Lancelot used to fight, but now they get along. He's not holding him on a leash.] And as I said, he's the strongest Servant.
[Stronger than you, Archer. At least, Kariya thinks so.]
no subject
I need no Command to heed my Master, Archer.
I come at his pleasure, not at yours.
What purpose or cause have you in this exercise, then?
If it is Battle you seek, you will find it.
no subject
Purpose? Do I need a purpose to do what I wish? [He shrugs his shoulders, eyes filled with mirth as he assesses the two as they stood together.] Kariya here has a problem with smiling.
no subject
[He also has to disagree with everything Gilgamesh says, even though as he says this, he certainly doesn't sound happy.]
I don't have to smile if I don't want to.
[For example, he isn't smiling now, even though he feels better now that Lancelot is here. Also, he doesn't sound at all childish.]
What does it matter to you?
no subject
Whether you have a purpose in doing so, only you can say, Archer. But you lack my Master's permission to lay hands upon him-- in this, you may not do as you wish. Do you doubt that if you give insult to my Master, I will answer it?
[He wonders what is Archer's game, exactly. Lancelot does not enjoy the feeling of being manipulated or toyed with for another's amusement.]
no subject
How do I insult your Master, Berserker, by telling him he should smile for the guest of honor? That a happy man lives longer than a miserable one? [Even as he directs his questions at Lancelot, his eyes are on Kariya -- piercing and knowing.] He does not seem to appreciate sound advice!
no subject
You know what you did.
I don't need advice from you, and I won't take any advice you give me. I will smile for Diarmuid, but not for you. I told you, Diarmuid's my friend, and he understands. You don't know anything about me.
no subject
Once again, he does not address his Master's words (especially as they contain so many references to another Servant) but Archer's.]
You do not so much give him insult by your Words, but by your Actions-- and you know this very well.
If my Master asks that you not lay hands upon his person, you will not.
As well, I have heard it said that the Wise, after they have imparted their Wisdom and "sound advice", do not continue to harp upon their chosen point. My Master will do what he will do-- it is not for you to say, for all you hold yourself high.
Leave my Master be, Archer.
no subject
So he lifts a palm as if to stop more words from Lancelot, his smile transforming into a smirk as he winks shamelessly.]
No need to further waste your breath, Berserker. I got what I wanted.
[He laughs airily, slipping his hands into his pants pockets as he casually steps away from the other two.]
