[ 2-08 + Dorm levels ]
[ The most alarming thing to Duke isn't really the inability to move shortly after waking. Its the lack of familiar clothing.

The note is left alone until after the knight fishes out at least the undershirt of the uniform and pulls it on. The weird white clothing can come off another time, as getting some protection on seems like the best idea in the new place.

There's just a blank and resigned look at the letter. Destroyed? Eh... ]

Did they just argue until it all came down, or something? Idiots...

[ And then its just time to get the rest of the armor on. New place but 'let's be happy?' Uhhuh, sure. Armor is probably never going to come off now. ]

[ Cafeteria ]
[ So plain oatmeal isn't the most fascinating thing to eat ever, but the knight is just sort of eating with that steadiness that says someone is half asleep. That, or food is food.

Either way, Duke is watching the rest of the people here, although hopefully the knight looks a bit sleepy. ]

[ Floor 12 ]
[ Duke just watches that for a moment. ]

.... Not what I was expecting. Although if they couldn't see it... Odd, but..

[ So maybe the knight is going to crouch and watch for a bit. ]

[ Floor 3 ]
[ So maybe Duke will be spending a lot of time here. Just maybe.

Might be hinted at by the way the knight just sort of paces through the entire thing a few times before really looking at bookcovers. ]

[She's just another newmeat here, thus why she's going to need more information regarding everything here.

Don't mind her as the purple haired magician stumbles upon Duke and took interest in her. The book in the knight's hand, more exactly.]

[ Duke blinks away from the text and over at the voice. ]

Hmn?

[ Purple hair really gets a second blink simply because there's no long ears or antennae to go with it. That's a bit odd. ]

[Not everyone is Krytian, y'know.]

Do you mind if I borrow that book after you're over?

[ True, but the closest to purple-hair Duke knows is this odd shade of black... But that's definitely not here.

Also the use of 'over' in that sentence confuses the knight for a moment. Isn't it done? Well, 'over' can be used for a time period, and borrowing implies for a time. ]

[ Duke's looking at what counts as 'fantasy'. Its sort of entertaining. ]

[She offers her a genuine small before she turns to the shelf, to look at the dozens of the book, before she comes into a small conclusion.]

Ah, these are...

[Yup, she's looking at those 'fantasy' books as well. It's... not exactly what she was looking for.]

[Fayt was just heading back to the room after searching around a bit himself. He'd forgotten the letter he'd received only hours earlier in his urgency to get out and try to find out something, and it was only now, after making his way to the library and browsing a bit, that he had realized he hadn't had it on him.]

[ And so the knight is definitely glad that putting armor on was the first course of action. ]

... So one of these is yours?

[ Duke indicates the rest of the room with a thumb, before bending to pull on a boot. ]

Huh? Yeah. [He nods in the direction of one of the beds, the one he'd woken up in only a few hours before... it's not even made, with how much of a hurry he had been in to get out and find some answers.] That one.

I guess you're one of my roommates, huh?

Here to, ah, 'be happy'.

[ Indicating that letter while pulling white hair into a high tail. ]

... Woke up to a scenery change?

Third Floor

[As usual, Tohko was taking care of her library duties and doing her best to avoid her stalker of a retrieval unit when she saw a man with white hair walking through an isle and looking at the books. Tohko, for the moment, had managed to shake off her drone, so she walked up to the man and smiled.]

Good morning! Need help finding anything?

[notduchess]

I'm just looking, for now.

[ Although Duke does look between the books and the girl again after a moment. ]

The missing books aren't all checked out, are they?

[At that, Tohko sighed and shook her head.]

They're not. The Administrators pulled any and all books that might help us understand this Tower, and we haven't been able to find them yet, so that's why there are gaps in the shelves. However, you'll mostly find them in the nineteenth floor.

Some of the things that are missing from here, but not the important ones?

[ The knight has to think for a moment. 'Administrators'... ]

... Administrators are people who manage things. That would... make them in charge of this Tower?

floor 12

[blackwitch]

Couldn't see what?

[ Don't mind someone butting in here, Duke. It's a teenage girl, either way.. or that's what Evatrice seems like when she's just in her schoolgirl outfit. She's grinning though. ]

Adephagos.

[ that's a bit of a mouthful.

Duke blinks over at the girl, then back to the planets. ]

At least, that's what ought to have gotten mine.

[blackwitch]

[ Gotten mine.. ah, the destruction, he's talking about that? Not that she has any clue what Adephagos could even be. ]

Who knows, it could have been anything! For all we know, the people in charge here could just go around randomly destroying worlds since they feel like it! [ She wouldn't fault them for it since she'd do the same. ]

Well, it would explain the ease of 'saving', wouldn't it.

[ A tight smile. That's not too comfortable of a thought, but would fit. ]

Wouldn't there be more here if that was the case, though? They'd be able to take someone off every planet, possibly cities worth of people.

Floor 3

*Duke may find one of the red-collared drones patrolling the bookshelves at random. It's unusual, but of course, there's no way for a newcomer to know that. The reason it's loitering on this floor is because of the man atop one of the shelves, laying on his stomach with a book open in front of him. It was much easier to read when the retrieval unit's close passes weren't quite so close. He glances down at Duke as the knight paces through his section - and again on his(?) second round.*

Are you looking for anything in particular? I'm becoming familiar with this section.

*Here's hoping Duke can handle strangers talking to them from atop bookshelves all of a sudden.*

[ Duke starts, but blinks twice before giving an unsure look at the person atop the bookcase. ]

I was seeing what was here, but it looks like its all.. 'fantasy'?

[ Just giving an amused look at some of the titles. ]

The definition seems a bit odd to me.

*He catches that look and gives an awkward little smile in return. He knows he looks odd up here.*

"Fantasy" seems to be relative. Things that are only imagined on the worlds in which they were authored...

But completely possible in others.

[Zett had been avoiding people since his encounter with the dolls, but stars would always get him out. He had been spending a lot of his time on this floor lately.]

What do you mean?

A bit self-centered of me, but this sort of thing was expected if my sister and the others failed. But we could see the Adephagos...

[ ... Casually not mentioning that Duke's sister had not been part of the group... ]

And I kind of thought that angels would destroy my world, since they were working on it. Apparently it's something else that did it.
