Summary: So the week started well enough. And then these strange messages started appearing around the tower... (If you want to react to the ever-changing 'Lancer and Archer' rumor, feel free to pick any version.)
Warnings: Nothing at the moment.

Floor 25 - Meadow - prior to the rumors appearing

[Ever since he visited the meadow to watch V/V's concert, Gilgamesh found himself returning to the floor whenever he found himself wanting to enjoy something simpler. It was quiet and free of irritants (the "monsters" of the tower), so he could remain there as long as he wished, whiling away his time.

Not that he has anything to do out there. Not really. But sometimes idle fingers fiddle with the longer blade of grass, or pluck flowers out of the grass to twist at the stems.]


All over the tower

[The message on the wall in the first dormitory level is the first that he sees. At the time, it had been nothing more than a small amusement -- something to smirk at with mild puzzlement, as he didn't know either of the people mentioned on the message. But he soon becomes aware of the other messages-- graffiti, as people began editing them-- on the different floors.

So what does he do? He goes on out there to look around and see just how many obvious messages there are. With so many floors, that's bound to take awhile.]


Dormitory Floor 1

[...It's almost ironic that he finds himself back on the first dormitory level, staring at the same patch of wall he had seen at the beginning of the week. The message keeps changing, and every time he walks off to find something else to do, he just seems to come back to find it changed again.

Maybe he should stick around to see who's changing the rumor. That sounds like a good idea.]

[He flicks his fingers in a dismissive gesture as the girl somewhat details her dilemma.]

And you do not wish to kill him to rid you of your problem, it seems.

[Tohko gave the guy a slight glare at that gesture and the suggestion that she should kill the guy. She would kill people if she had to..but that didn't mean that she liked doing it if another option could be taken.]

For one thing, I don't like killing people if I can avoid it. For another, he's a retrieval unit, so even if I were to fight him, I would just die, and I've been trying to avoid dying as much as possible.

[The nonchalant way that Archer speaks about killing probably doesn't help matters, even as he fiddles with the blade of grass.]

Whoever said anything about fighting it? [Yes, it. He had not seen any reason so far to humanize the retrieval units.] There are many dangers in the tower.

[Usually it wouldn't, but Tohko had gotten used to such things here.]

That's true..but I have no idea what exactly it would lose to. Plus, if I pushed it near a monster or got it involved with one, it would probably make the Administrators even more suspicious or make Ivan attack me. I would rather avoid those, and I don't mind my elevator method.

Lead it into a pitfall or push it off the tower! [The nonchalance continues, and Archer takes a moment to hold the blade of grass to his lips before dropping it and looking for another.] Simple "accidents."

If enough 'accidents' continue, even a fool will have to realize that something's going on, and it's not like the Administrators are idiots to begin with.

And you think that they care enough about you to continue sending units? [He laughs, finding another blade of grass and twisting it experimentally.]

It's possible. After all, Ivan's tenacious, and I don't think they would just give up if he did manage to get killed.

Now why would they ever be so persistent to tail you? [The airy way that he states the question makes it sound rhetorical.] Could it be that you are doing something worth knowing about?

[Retrieval units tailing people isn't exactly a commonplace happening in the tower.]

[Even though it might be rhetorical, Tohko's..not going to let it lie.]

I have no idea. They must think that I'm part of the rebellion or something of the like.

[..Well, she was part of the rebellion, but she wasn't sure if she should mention that right now.]

[Something of the like. How very vague. If Archer was one to muse more about that, especially with a new acquaintance, he might have found that in itself a suspect way of talking. So his response is almost flippant, amused as he continues fiddling with the grass.]

The rebellion! Such a mysterious presence to worry about. A high priority to keep an eye on.

[And..Tohko couldn't help but smile at that. Most people that she met did muse on it a bit more and come to that conclusion, but she wasn't sure if this person had reached that conclusion or not.]

Exactly! So, while I'm not in it, the Administrators think I am, and, as a result, I have to deal with Ivan most of the time.
