[It isn't dead yet, evidenced by the occasional twitching of its body and the continuous growl coming from its throat. However, it's no longer able to move.

If Claudia still has it in her to be angry, it will be very tempting to finish the monster off. Maybe there was something in that bite.]

[sicharia]

[She watches it twitch, and she feels the same absurd, furious reaction as before. She's too tired to analyze it. She's too tired to do much of anything, but she drags herself free from the tangle of pipes anyway, giving into the emotion easily. She's always been an emotional person.]

[She'll kill it. It's already done so much to her, and she hates that she can't even defend herself, so she'll kill it—]

[Blood smears behind her injured leg as she drags herself. She isn't sure where or what she is dragging herself to, but she needs—something. She can't kill it without a tool. It's purely by luck that her hand lands on a fragment of broken pipe—the same one she kicked free, the metal having ricocheted and rolled vaguely back in the her direction after it had striking the monster earlier.]

[She isn't a strong person, and especially not with the adrenaline draining from her body now, but she takes that pipe and strikes the creature about the head over and over again, making up for power and focus with pure tenacity.]

[The steady growling trails off into pitiful, staccato whines as Claudia continues to strike it with the bludgeon.

Eventually, the creature falls silent. It stops twitching. There is no whining, or any other evidence of breathing. Its skull is misshapen from the beating it has taken.

Claudia has killed it.]

[She throws up again.]

[There isn't anything left in her stomach but acid, but she wretches so hard it hurts. She wretches so hard tears roll down her cheeks.]

[She doesn't have the strength to do anything more than drag herself a few feet away. She certainly doesn't have the strength to pull herself somewhere safe, on this floor or another. It doesn't matter, though. Why should she worry about more monsters when she'll die either way?]

[She collapses, body curling in on itself as she goes still as well.]
