Setting: The nineteenth floor on June 19th.
Format: I'm starting in prose, but I'll match you!
Summary: After getting a note from Enoch, Yotsuba decides to search the library for more treasure: information about 'romeance'.
Warnings: None so far!

Yotsuba was always happy to get mail, especially from good friends..but her recent letter inspired her to search the library, since it seemed like it was a huuge beach where seashells and other cool things hid. So, after putting the letter in her pocket, Yotsuba ran down the stairs, careful to avoid any monsters she saw. While she was wearing her sling and sash-pouch, it was still best to avoid any trouble. When she saw the first elevator she found, she pressed the call button and waited, singing to herself to pass the time.

When she finally got onto the elevator, arrived at the meadow, and dashed into the nineteenth floor, her eyes got wide, and she couldn't help but cry out to herself. "There are a lot of gems here! They're really colurful!" Nonfiction books, of course, still looked quite nice, especially to a young child. While Yotsuba was looking for a book to explain 'romentic love', she wasn't the best reader, which resulted in her pulling the first book she found off the shelf and expecting it to have all the answers..when it was just a thin book on psychology.

As Yotsuba tried to read it, her face scrunched up a she tried to make sense of what she was reading. "F..Fruied was..de..deflunked by modern.." After trying to say 'psychologists' and not getting it, Yotsuba glared at the words, as if they were the ones responsible for not having what she was looking for. "That doesn't sound nice!! This isn't a good gem!" Yotsuba closed the book and put it back on the shelf-not in the same spot she had found it in-and kept wandering around, hoping she could find something about what she was looking for.

"Oh..always? Really?" While Yotsuba knew that things usually turned out for the better because grown-ups could solve lots of problems and make things better, Yotsuba sometimes worried about things turning out well here in the Tower.

"And he did! But duckies can't hit! They don't have hands!"

"Of course, there are times when someone has to do something to change things. And in times like these they need others who help them." Which pretty much describes what Enoch and his relationship is, now that he thinks of it.

"They have beaks. That's their mouth but it's really hard." Good that he has pictures at hand to show her what the beak looks like.

"But..the change will always be good? And people will always help out? And what is change?"

Sadly, Yotsuba didn't know much about Lucifel's and Enoch's relationship, other than what she had learned today. However, she did know about beaks and smiled when Lucifel pointed them out.

"Yotsuba knows what a beak is! It's a birdies mouth and they can peck people with it!"

"I can't say for sure if the change will always be good." Now to explain to her what a change is. Good thing that he has an example here.

"The ugly duckling becoming a swan is for example. Growing up is a change."

He nodded. "And he could have pecked them back or bitten them, but in the end he didn't. Even though he was much bigger than the other ducklings."

"Oh..I get it! Like coming to the Tower or making a sling! But even if it's a bad change, it can be fixed!"

After all, the grown-ups were working on trying to restore the worlds and save the souls.

"Yup! He was really nice..and really sad. Poor duckie. Being alone is really scary!"

"Yes, Bad changes can be fixed." Not all of them, but most could be fixed.

They were trying their best to fix things and save everyone. Even if there were people who were against them.

"... Yes, it is."

Sadly, Yotsuba thought that they could all be fixed, since grown-ups said that they would and that they wouldn't break their promises. She had no idea that people were going against them other than the Administrators, and if she found out that they couldn't save everyone, she would be rather sad.

"It is..but we're not alone now, so we'll be fine!"

Let the children be children. Even though this place is cruel, who is he to destroy that innocence? Lucifel might be a realist but this is something he's not getting involved with.

"Yeah, everything will be fine."

Which was good, since..Yotsuba would be pretty upset if she learned that Daddy, Jumbo and everyone else might be dead and that she could die too at the end of the year.

"Yup!" And at that, her stomach rumbled a little. She hadn't eaten any lunch yet, so she was a little hungry.

"Can we eat something, Lucifel?"

"Sure, we can go eat something."

Eventually he would have to leave her alone or she might even head out again herself, but nothing spoke against them to eat something.

"Yay! Let's go then!"

It was probable that Yotsuba would ditch him and head to the library again after she ate, assuming Lucifel didn't want to follow her around for the rest of the day. However, for now, she would be more than happy to keep traveling on Lucifel's shoulders.

So, once again, she climbed up on his shoulders and put the book she was carrying on his head.
