Characters: Anyone who's willing to work for SCIENCE.
Setting: The Workshop (Floor 15) for the IC questions to the scientists and the mingle thread. Then each group will be positioned on a different floor so as to not alert the administrators with a large group of people gathering at a single place for a long time.
Format: Prose or action, whichever you prefer.

Summary: This log marks the start of the research on the collar fluid! As was mentioned in the sign-ups post, words was passed around about the need of more people to help and study the collar fluid. Characters signing-up have all been divided into seven teams, which can be found here. ICly, Doc Brown made the team based on what he thinks is the most efficient. You can still sign-up here.

There will be a thread in case your character needs to ask a question or anything to the starter scientists (Doc, Waver, Sertoria or Sephiroth) and in parallel a mingle thread for all the characters during the 'recruitment', even if they end up assigned to different teams. And then obviously, there are the individual threads for each teams so the new teammates can get and know each other if they don't already.

For their first day the teams will be on different floors, but following this nothing prevents two teams from working closeby or on different floors. For reference, there are three set of scientific equipment, each containing a microscope, a small centrifuge, beakers, test tubes, many testing apparatuses, etc. They'll be shared between the seven teams depending on what they need for their researches.

Warnings: Nothing! There will be no NPC tags here, researches shouldn't be dangerous and this log is mostly for the characters to get and know each other, so this should be a relatively harmless log. Well, unless you're in the Violet or Orange team of course. In which case, good luck.

[chaos didn't return the laugh when Richtofen relaxed, but he couldn't help but chuckle a little when the person called him a pack mule. There was really no insult in calling him one..but chaos did like to tease people on occasion, and this seemed as good as any.]

It is, and I am glad that we have a capable scientist here. I shall help however I can..however, Doctor, please remember that mules can kill with one kick if one properly aggravates them. They are not simple animals.

[Richtofen raised his eyebrows, smile frozen on his face. Was that kid threatening him? It sounded idle enough, but that paranoid part of Richtofen's brain wouldn't allow him to dismiss it outright. Still, he chuckled.]

Oh, aren't you a clever one? Very well, I shall remember that.

[He wagged a finger in front of his face, equal parts playful and patronizing.]

But you would do best using that power against the administrators, wouldn't you?

[If it was a threat, it was an empty one, more an example of how calling people animals and expecting them to be weak or foolish because one had an incorrect view of the animal was usually not a good thing to do. Whether the lesson actually stuck was up to Richtofen.

chaos, at the least, would remember the finger wagging. He knew he looked younger, but he did not like being treated like he was a young person. Especially since he was probably much older than this person.]

I do attempt to be. I am glad that you will try to remember..and I shall my power against whomever I wish, Administrators included, if I must. Assuming, of course, they do not bind up my legs.

Aha, that would be tragic, wouldn't it? [His eyes narrowed a bit, but he was still smiling. He looked more insightful than angry.] Then, if they do that, you will just have to break out of those bindings.

[He shrugged. All of a sudden, his tone turned light and casual.]

Or you could gnaw off your legs! Either way is fine. [He let out a giggle. Try as he might to seem "normal," he couldn't get rid of all of his eccentricities.

Almost as if their conversation hadn't happened, he craned his neck in an attempt to see the layout of the morgue.]

Now, where is all of our equipment? We have work to do, mein Freund!

I might, depending upon the situation. I might decide to leave them tied for awhile and bite or kick and free myself, depending upon the situation. However, biting off my legs shall only result in my dying via blood loss. Right now, I do not think that will be helpful to most here.

[Thankfully, chaos had dealt with many, many different types of people during his long life and was not bothered by the giggle. It let him know that this doctor was probably quite fond of terrible experiments here and back in his universe, but it was nothing he was going to comment on or act on. At least, not right now. So, still smiling, chaos moved a bit out of the way so that the good doctor could have a better look around.]

[Richtofen refrained, by some miracle, from laughing at the thought of this kid biting himself to death. Instead, he made a beeline for the equipment, expecting chaos to be right behind him. His eyes began to sparkle as soon as he laid his eyes on everything.]

Wunderbar. Und where did we get this, again? Because the equipment in the lab- [He cut himself off short.] I am quite sure that this is equipment I have never seen before.

[Not that chaos would have minded Richtofen's laughter. However, chaos remained a few paced behind the good doctor as he answered.]

I believe that a few individuals acquired this from a run downstairs, if they wanted actual scientific tools. The things you see may be different from the ones in you are familiar with in your universe, due to the time periods and the high level of technology here.

[Richtofen raised a brow and looked back at chaos as he walked.]

Downstairs? Oh my. When did this happen?

[Last he'd heard, there was some commotion, but he'd spent the entirety of it shut up in his room. He did not feel like dealing with all of that. One hour of sleep paralysis after reviving was quite enough for him, thank you.]

I am not quite certain, but it was probably shortly after the collar check boycott and the mess it left behind. I did not take part in the descent, but if they wanted actual scientific equipment that was not false, they would have needed to go down.
