[Science Experiment] || [Collar Fluid Research Start] || [Open]

Characters: Anyone who's willing to work for SCIENCE.
Setting: The Workshop (Floor 15) for the IC questions to the scientists and the mingle thread. Then each group will be positioned on a different floor so as to not alert the administrators with a large group of people gathering at a single place for a long time.
Format: Prose or action, whichever you prefer.

Summary: This log marks the start of the research on the collar fluid! As was mentioned in the sign-ups post, words was passed around about the need of more people to help and study the collar fluid. Characters signing-up have all been divided into seven teams, which can be found here. ICly, Doc Brown made the team based on what he thinks is the most efficient. You can still sign-up here.

There will be a thread in case your character needs to ask a question or anything to the starter scientists (Doc, Waver, Sertoria or Sephiroth) and in parallel a mingle thread for all the characters during the 'recruitment', even if they end up assigned to different teams. And then obviously, there are the individual threads for each teams so the new teammates can get and know each other if they don't already.

For their first day the teams will be on different floors, but following this nothing prevents two teams from working closeby or on different floors. For reference, there are three set of scientific equipment, each containing a microscope, a small centrifuge, beakers, test tubes, many testing apparatuses, etc. They'll be shared between the seven teams depending on what they need for their researches.

Warnings: Nothing! There will be no NPC tags here, researches shouldn't be dangerous and this log is mostly for the characters to get and know each other, so this should be a relatively harmless log. Well, unless you're in the Violet or Orange team of course. In which case, good luck.

What exactly with this...testing of the color fluid consist of?

[ This one scientists wear the white labcoat and all, but he looks like the crazy variety of scientist. ... But he's nice in fact, really. ]

[ Sertoria looks rather well-mannered today, so any and all questions can be asked to her. She might take a while to answer it, though, especially if she's focused intently on the task at hand. ]

Calling me Waver is fine--if you have to use that, I'd appreciate keeping 'the second' on the end. I find the title distasteful without it.

To answer your question, we're going to try to analyze its molecular structure and see if we can discern what it's made of. Personally, I'd also like to compare structures and the like between fluid colors; I've a sneaking suspicion they aren't all precisely the same, and I'd like to know what differentiates them other than color.

From there, maybe we can start to determine why all of us are color-coded to begin with.

[The end justifies the means.

Sephiroth's own personal reservations about science are being rubbed in his nose but there really is nothing else to do for it. The collar fluid must be figured out, he does know his stuff and he's willing to use as many people as it takes to obtain this end. However, cooperation must be tolerated in the meantime. A necessary sacrifice. Doc at least seems to understand this.

Ask questions, request things. Again he's putting his presence forward as one who gets things done.]

[ Today, Sertoria doesn't seem like she's willing to do much, if any, smalltalk. What they're doing is important and it seems like she has her directive on that task. She's dressed in her tunic, sandals and has a lab coat on.

Until they're told to go to their respective floors, she's looking around for her group members to see if there's anything she could do for them. ]

[She nods.]

That sounds like a good goal. And who is leading those researchers?

Myself along with...three or four others, I think.

[chaos had been looking for a way to do his part and help out with the rebellion, so when he had heard the rumors, he had quietly wandered into the workshop, and was now waiting for everything to begin. While this was very important and serious, one could find chaos smiling and generally acting calm when talking to people.]

[Yet another gathering at which he looks around with the thought 'why am I doing this again' but then manages to convince himself that this will, eventually be for his benefit. Unlocking his true potential is more important than petty differences. Sephiroth is doing spectacularly in keeping his irritation and intolerance of the general populace of the Tower well in check. Considering that it's his doing that they're even in this position now, he's put his rarely practiced (and somewhat begrudged) expertise forwards to assist - for now at least.

When not being approached for the inevitable questions about their little science project, Sephiroth lingers with arms folded at the edge of the above mentioned gathering. Arms folded and keeping a watchful eye out. They all shouldn't linger too long here after all, there are some of them that are still being watched.]

[Being told that you didn't even have normal blood was another shock to add to the shock box. It was lesser than other though, as Veronica already had artificial blood. The notion of figuring things out in the tower drew Veronica to sing up. She wasn't anywhere near as knowledgeable as her sister, but she still knew things.

She'll be hanging back, waiting for the other members of her team.]

[When he wasn't answering questions, Waver was keeping largely to himself. He gave the surrounding area and the people within it the occasional critical look, but generally said nothing. He seemed content to simply light a cigarette and stand off to the side minding his own business.]

[ Hello, blue team! As everyone shuffles in to the library, Sertoria's deciding to not have everyone work immediately, even though she would. Already, there's slides prepared to analyze the fluid, equipment prepared and working as it should with any additional things set up, such as water and the nutrition bars from the cafeteria for nourishment. ]

Before we begin, I am Sertoria Cani for those who do not know me. I will be your leader for this project. I would not mind getting to know you all as we work together.

Are there any questions for this project or do you want to begin immediately?

[chaos didn't mind the position he was put into, as he was good at protecting, fighting, and carrying heavy loads even if he didn't always know about the science that went into things. He wasn't quite sure yet who his teammates would be..but whomever they were, he would smile at them when they wandered in and greet them.]
