Characters: Anyone who's willing to work for SCIENCE.
Setting: The Workshop (Floor 15) for the IC questions to the scientists and the mingle thread. Then each group will be positioned on a different floor so as to not alert the administrators with a large group of people gathering at a single place for a long time.
Format: Prose or action, whichever you prefer.

Summary: This log marks the start of the research on the collar fluid! As was mentioned in the sign-ups post, words was passed around about the need of more people to help and study the collar fluid. Characters signing-up have all been divided into seven teams, which can be found here. ICly, Doc Brown made the team based on what he thinks is the most efficient. You can still sign-up here.

There will be a thread in case your character needs to ask a question or anything to the starter scientists (Doc, Waver, Sertoria or Sephiroth) and in parallel a mingle thread for all the characters during the 'recruitment', even if they end up assigned to different teams. And then obviously, there are the individual threads for each teams so the new teammates can get and know each other if they don't already.

For their first day the teams will be on different floors, but following this nothing prevents two teams from working closeby or on different floors. For reference, there are three set of scientific equipment, each containing a microscope, a small centrifuge, beakers, test tubes, many testing apparatuses, etc. They'll be shared between the seven teams depending on what they need for their researches.

Warnings: Nothing! There will be no NPC tags here, researches shouldn't be dangerous and this log is mostly for the characters to get and know each other, so this should be a relatively harmless log. Well, unless you're in the Violet or Orange team of course. In which case, good luck.

[Suzaku nodded, seeming unfased by Richtofen's excitement. He followed him nodding looking at the equipment, it was all near to but not quite what he knew from home.]

[Richtofen immediately began to fuss around the equipment, looking at it from every angle. He continued to babble while he did so.]

So! We have enough paper, correct? Und pens? Pencil simply will not do. Make sure to keep everything that looks important as far from the troll boy as possible. I-- Ooh, what does this do? [He fiddled with one of the pieces of equipment with a pleased look on his face.] I would like for all of this to go as smoothly as possible, you see...

[He didn't spare Suzaku another glance the entire time, far too wrapped up in the high of finally being the man in charge of a scientific experimentation team again.]

[Suzaku nodded, he was used to such attitudes, and glanced around to see which troll boy Richtofen was talking about.] I think we have enough things, I can always get more if we use all of these.

[doctor_dismemberment]

Excellent! A dedicated worker. Well, I will see how dedicated you are when push comes to shove... [He giggles.] I am sure you will do well.

[He claps his hands together.]

Tell me! Have you started formulating any hypotheses yet?

I hope that I do. [He shook his head] Not yet, though I can do now that I have more information. [Perhaps, sort of. Probably not correctly but he could try.]

Well! Let us begin as simply as possible, hmm? Then we shall work our way up to more complex deductions.

[He seems to be speaking exclusively to Suzaku, as if the rest of the room is full of people too unimportant for his attention.]

We must figure out the fluid's chemical makeup. There is a high likelihood that it is comprised of elements unfamiliar to all of us, but I'd like to see if there's anything recognizable at all in it. Do you think you can handle that?

[Was that meant to be patronizing or encouraging? The world may never know!]

Okay [He nodded and began making notes, his hand was neat enough to be read at least.] Chemical makeup, anything recognisable at all. Got it.
