Event: Quarantine
Characters: any characters trapped in rooms during the event
Setting: dormitory level rooms
Format: any
Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings
[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.
After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

Day 2

Tear replied holding up a syringe that had a colour similar to her own collar.
"However, this is only an assumption."

"I believe we do, but I'm not quite sure how we're suppose to do it. I suppose the best way is to inject it into our bloodstreams."

She pointed to his arm.
"I am not an authorized doctor, but I have minor knowledge regarding such things."
Tear was fine explaining to people since she was rather used to it.

"If it's for the collar, wouldn't it have to go into the neck?"

She replied. Tear was being logical with this and wanted to minimize anyone's pain as much as possible.

It's fascinating, to a degree. He's never seen anything like the needle, though its function seems simple enough.

The dizziness hit him straight away and he fell backwards, collapsing onto the floor, his head pounding and wanting to be sick.
no subject
Assuming the collars work that way.
Tear watches quietly as the other person inserts the needle into his neck. Tear had hers too and it was about high time she injected herself with it as well. She was waiting on everyone else to see if they were okay first.
"Are you alright?"
She mused after a moment watching Capell's balance fall out on him.

She turned towards Capell as he seemed to be a bit dazed from whatever he injected, which she assumed was the liquid for their collars. She was watching as well. She didn't really want to do this but she had no other choice but to follow suit if she didn't want to end up worse than that.
Without saying much more, she decided to insert the syringe into her other arm, letting out a flinch and letting the liquid slowly disperse in her arm. The same symptoms repeated itself for her and she had to use the wall to faintly support herself. She might as well get it over with for the time being.

Picking up a violet syringe with his name written on it, he turned it around and around, trying to inspect the contents. Outside of the colour it simply seemed like fluid... it probably needed to interact with his innards in order to actually do soemthing. Part of sustaining the illusion. For now, at least, he'd play along.
He sat down slowly, before jamming the syringe in a swift strike into his thigh. It hurt quite sharply, the feel of the fluid cold before being taken into his body. At least when the dizziness hit he wasn't upright, though he did find himself leaning back against the wall with a bit of a gasp as the room began to spin.

"Is everyone alright..."

Tear said after a moment, trying to contain her own dizziness. It didn't show on her face, but her response was obvious enough. The maiden closed her eye briefly before she spoke again, "I do not understand why this happens."
She didn't like this one bit.

Impending Argument Subthread
There was one with his name on it, but it was the wrong color. The blue one had his name on it, while the purple one was labeled 'Replica'.]
Well that's stupid. They mixed our colors up.
no subject
All he can do is creep closer and try to keep his cool.]
They could've gotten the labels mixed up. Hard to say, really, but I think it's important that we grab the right color. Who cares about whether it says "Replica" or not?
no subject
[It's the principle, Riku. That, plus the photo he got last month...they keep piling up, and it's getting slightly tougher to convince himself that everyone is just screwing around with him.
He holds up the 'Replica' syringe, the one with purple fluid inside, and points it towards Riku.]
What would happen if we stuck ourselves with the wrong one?
no subject
[He snickers, waving his hand.]
But seriously, I do think there'd be problems. The last time people got their colors swapped, we had to deal with power fluctuations, dizziness... It wasn't pretty.
no subject
Still, he didn't really have much of a choice. He wasn't a big fan of the idea of passing out if he didn't do it, so...
Well, he could just hope for the best, at least. And that's exactly what he does.
It's not much longer before the headache and dizziness starts to kick in, and he can tell before too long that it's just gonna get worse. Don't mind him spreading out on the nearest bed and claiming it as his own until he feels less awful.]
