Event: Quarantine
Characters: any characters trapped in rooms during the event
Setting: dormitory level rooms
Format: any
Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings
[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.
After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

[She tilts her head.]
I didn't pull that hard, did I?
no subject
no subject
[She drops her hand and leans against him a bit more, curious.]
Who's that?
no subject
no subject
[Then with the slightest bit of a sulk to her tone-]
...who's Misaya?
no subject
[His expression softens. A lot.]
She was my first Master. A kid some years younger than you. And she was tough. Enough to keep me in line.
no subject
[Oh that makes her feel something unpleasant in her chest when he thinks about this girl and looks like that.]
Do you miss her?
no subject
[He closes his eyes.]
They were...they were very special.
no subject
[And if her turning in his lap to face him is awkward she doesn't care, peering up at him curiously. She's never actually seen someone get this emotional over people.]
no subject
[His voice trembles just a little. They were precious to him. And now they're all gone.]
no subject
[The thing is, to her the word 'family' is people who share the same genes as her. Who live with her, but... are just other people to her, for the most part. She even considers some of them as close as she's willing to concede to 'enemies'.
The word means much more than that to Cu Chulainn though, and she purses her lips for a moment before awkwardly slipping her arms around him, tugging him down against her.]
Look at it this way- you've got new family with your brother and all, right?
no subject
Yeah, my brother. And there's not one day that passes that I'm not grateful that he's in this place with me.
no subject
[She doesn't... quite know what to do herself when he hugs back honestly- new things happening all the time in her life because of this guy alread.]
Things like that tend to drive people crazy.
[She finally just settles for looking up at him again.]
So... I guess just focus on building yourself a new family here while you can. I dunno, I'm not really great at this emotional stuff.
no subject
[A hero should be without regrets. And yet, these days, Lancer finds himself dwelling too much on the past. On the friends he had lost.]
If I build one, would you like to be part of it?
no subject
That's a hell of a question to ask a girl after just one date, Cu Chulainn.
no subject
It's not just family in that way. You're a good woman. I like you. Even if we don't tumble each other, I'd like to be able to call you family.
no subject
[But her own expression turns a lot more serious as well, lips pressing together.]
I think you might be a little biased on the 'good' front, handsome. I'm... morally ambiguous, at best. I mean, I have things even I won't do, but good?
[She lowers her head, hand coming up to her lip, teeth worrying at a nail, and shakes her head slowly.]
Nah. I don't think 'good' is exactly a word you could use to describe me.
no subject
[He scratches his head.]
I don't know. Maybe you're not "good" per say. But if you're not a traitor, we could still be friends.
no subject
[She reaches up to take his face between her hands, smirking, amused.]
But... considering you're the first person to be this nice to me for this long... I think I can give you my word, as much as it counts, that I won't betray you.
[A pause, hesitant.]
Good enough?
no subject
Good enough.
no subject
At least kiss me on the mouth, idiot.
[A huff.]
God, you're so lucky you're pretty.
no subject
Like this?
no subject
[She tilts herself up, and pulls him down into a kiss with just a hint of tongue, pulling away with a smug look.]
I was thinking more like that, though.
no subject
...And how's that?
no subject
Yeah. Good- that's good.
[Wow.]
