Event: Quarantine

Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings

[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.

After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

Unfortunate, but I can't say I'm entirely surprised. Given the amount of unoccupied rooms here, our luck would have needed to be astronomical to find one with anything useful in it.

[Suzaku nodded] It was a slim hope. [He looked at the door] I doubt brute force is going to help us at all. [So that is Suzaku's entire skill set out pretty much.]

Unlikely. Although to tell the truth, I think we'd be better off staying put until we or those probably still outside have a more solid grasp of the situation. Rushing blindly won't get us anywhere.

[swordofzero]

I just hope those outside are alright. [His Geass had activated, which meant it had gotten very bad out there, even if he couldn't remember anything between the explosions and being in this room]

I don't doubt there's likely to be a number of people injured, but I would also assume just as many if not more got away well enough. I'm just as concerned with who's responsible for this and why.

I would hope it is not any of us, but seeing that Riki was on the floor and is in charge this month, I am not sure it is the administrators either...

Considering Jason's reaction last time, I don't think any of them are responsible. Having it be one of us is unlikely but still possible.

It is, but I think I would rather it was one of us than an unknown force.

[fionnuisce]

...You're right, that is something of a disturbing thought.

[swordofzero]

[He nodded, he wasn't sure how long Waver had been here but he did not think it was longer than Diarmuid and he knew Diarmuid had been here less time than Suzaku] The last unknown force that appeared turned out to be Ruana.

But what would she have to gain from damaging the Tower? And if it was her, I suspect Jason at the very least would be aware that it was.

[swordofzero]

I don't think it is, it's not her style. [She prefers games, things to take them to the depths of terror] But she either is allowing this or they have gotten through whatever security she has, because they are damaging the tower... [And that probably means the explosives are real]

Which raises several more questions, mostly having to do with 'who' 'why' and 'where the fuck are they getting this from'.

[Suzaku nodded] I hope we find out soon, and whose side they are on.

[fionnuisce]

If it's either side at all. Who or whatever it is could easily be against one side and simply not care about the other. The old 'enemy of my enemy' expression doesn't always apply, convenient as it could potentially be.

I guess not. But a temporary alliance could be possible, even if they do not care for us at all.
