Event: Quarantine
Characters: any characters trapped in rooms during the event
Setting: dormitory level rooms
Format: any
Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings
[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.
After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

Day 3
day 3 aka dang he hecked up
Richtofen doesn't quite remember when he'd decided to leap up and start banging against the door, but here he is now, glaring at it as the whispering rises to a fever pitch. He pauses for a brief minute to consider if it's really worth it to keep drawing attention to their room. This isn't the first time he's dealt with strange, unnatural voices in this place, after all.
He resolves himself to try and settle down after this, but he can't resist getting in one last jab.]
You are all far too loud!
[He gives the door a final, harsh kick. Immediately, the lights shut off, and a sudden tug and searing pain has him flat on his back and shrieking.
When the lights come back on, Richtofen is staring wide-eyed at the blood gushing out of the stump where his right foot used to be. He screams so loudly that his voice cracks.]

More so as it attracted unwanted attention. He was literally about to go and snap his neck when the lights went out-- Only to witness the wonderful spectacle offered by the tower as soon as the light went back on. How glorious. And nothing had happened to any of them aside from Richtofen. There was some justice after all.
Finally, these long days spent with all these fools had been made worth it.
... Richtofen better be shutting up quickly, however. ]

When are you ever going to learn to keep your mouth shut?
[Dude he doesn't want to be in here with Ganon's spells bouncing all over the place because of someone deflecting it with a household item. Provoking whatever's out there was something he would have done when he first arrived. ...Actually he still would, considering he's knocking on the door.]
Thanks for that, by the way!
[Who knows if it was sincere or just sarcastic. One thing was for sure: whatever did that to the scientist was giggling, and Ira had to like that a little bit.]
no subject
Stupid shit shit shit fuck go die that hurts that hurts fuck shit fuck no!
[Truly beautiful.
As soon as the initial shock subsides, Richtofen sits up and rips off his uniform jacket. Oblivious to the fire in Ira's palm, he presses the cloth to his wound as firmly as he can with his hands shaking like they are. He hisses in pain. His face is decidedly more pale than usual, and it's quickly starting to shine with sweat.
He continues to babble through gritted teeth.]
Stupid, fuck, stupid blood, shit, stop, stop, damn it, stop!
no subject
Let me help with that. You're going to have trouble tying that on your own.

You can die in what way you prefer, Richtofen. [He paused.] However from now on, you are going to shut your mouth completely, absolutely and definitely. If I hear a word from you, a breath-- No, a mere reminder of the fact that you exist, I will kill you. [A smile.] And, I will enjoy it.
[ Needless to say, the threat is only effective after his leg has been "treated" by the good people of this room. And anyone defending Richtofen is getting the death treatment as well. ]
no subject
She's not particularly horrified... more like stunned. And waiting for a moment to put a word in edgewise through all the gloating and self-satisfaction from the others.]
Does anyone...
[Ganondorf's far more serious threats give her pause, though. She turns her head his way, looking astonished. That was a side of him she hadn't seen yet...
Voice raising, feeling more resolved, she tried again.]
Does anyone in here know how to heal? Or to properly perform first aid?! [Although she only waited a few moments before shoving her way on over to Richtofen. She knew first aid, at least...]
no subject
I know Cure, but I doubt it's strong enough for that. [Not that he'd use it on this guy, though. The jerk.
...
Also what were half of those words he used he doesn't know.]
no subject
He turns his head back to his wound, and, though he speaks again, it's in a harsh whisper. It seems more like a natural reaction to the pain he's in than an answer to Ganondorf's request, however ill-timed it may be.]
I hate you sooooo much, oh mein gott...
[Next, his head snaps to the corpse girl. Admittedly, he had been trying to be courteous to her, but right now, he's in no mood to keep up his attempts. She reminds him of the zombies that he hasn't been able to kill in far too long, and he has to fight to battle away images of shooting her through the head or stabbing her in the neck. He just needs to kill one zombie, one zombie, just one zombie...]
I am a doctor! I- Arrgh... [He looks around at the people that have gathered around him, then back to where he's holding his jacket against his ankle. The blood has more or less soaked the entire thing by now. His voice fluctuates between a shout and a whisper.] I'm a doctor, verdammt! I can- Ohh, I'm gonna kill you, I'm gonna kill those kids, aha-!
[He breaks off into a short, frantic laugh. Jesus, he's feeling lightheaded.]
no subject
[Sure, he's got a full heal spell. Like hell he's gonna waste it on Richtofen though.]
no subject
You're a doctor? That's nice. You're in no state to doctor yourself. Hush.
[There's... something almost... comforting about that horrible look he's giving her. It seems proper. It's one she usually sees in the eyes of any human she approaches. So there's no delay in her bandage making, and no delay in her lashing the jacket tightly around his wound and adding an extra layer of fabric to try and halt the bleeding.]
It's this or I cauterize it. I don't think you'd like that. So hush, and maybe someone else will help you other than me.
[...a girl could hope.]
no subject
...Don't patronize me. [It's more of an annoyed mutter at this point, at least.] I have been - ow - have been tr-treating wounds like this since before you were born. Presumably.
[He doesn't actually know how long she's been undead for, whoops.]
no subject
[Did Annika tie that bandage off a little more roughly than strictly necessary? Yes. Yes, she did.]
If you don't like how I'm doing it, I can leave you to do it yourself.
[She's starting to understand why everyone else seems so fed up with him...]
no subject
[They weren't going to get any peace so long as he keeps living in the same space as them, so...
let him bleed]
