Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings

[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.

After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

[She makes a face- a slight one, but she makes it.]

Eugh, I so don't want to do this though. I don't like anything that puts me out of commission.

[Lancer can understand where she's coming from. Being stuck without powers is a frustrating thing.]

Yeah, I know. But it'll be just for a little while. And I'll watch you until your powers are up again.

[Diarmuid steps closer to Waver. While he doesn't call attention to the fact that Waver hasn't taken his injection yet, he's well aware of it. His expression says as much.]

In addition to the two greens, one of us violets should probably go as well so we all aren't going at the same time just in case. If no one else wants to go, I will volunteer.

[His look is apologetic. It's obvious that he is trying to make up for his part in the arguing yesterday. Whatever thinking Diarmuid has done overnight, he's obviously completely let go of his idea of keeping some of the fluid back.]

...You reconsidered pretty fast.

[Nope, still not pointing out that Waver himself hasn't even come close to taking his own.]

Some fights aren't worth continuing. As you've said, there are more important things to focus on right now.

[He raises an eyebrow at Waver.]

However, don't think I haven't noticed how quiet you have been on the matter of your own injection. If there is no objection to me going today, we will do this together as we do everything else.

[Granted, Diarmuid is a little bothered at the idea of them both being powerless at the same time, but he has been practicing fighting powerless almost since he arrived here and found out how easily they could be taken away. As long as he is not crippled by dizziness and weakness, he can still protect Waver if the need arises.

If the need arises and he is crippled by the side effects, he will still find a way.]

It's not as though I was going to ignore it myself. And while it might not be entirely logically sound for both of us to be out of commission at once, I'd feel better knowing you did it at all.

[Diarmuid raises an eyebrow at Asagi's comment, but doesn't say anything. Over the last couple of days, he's let himself be baited too much and it needs to stop. He promised Waver things wouldn't change, and he doesn't want the man to question things because of how he's acting.

Diarmuid smiles a little crookedly at Waver.]

I know that. I'm not entirely comfortable with us both being powerless at the same time, but even powerless I will fight to the death for you and everyone else for that matter. Better to get it done now so that you have one less thing to worry about.

[irreverence]

Fine, whatever- someone just hand me the damn needle already and let's get this over with.

[She doesn't say anything about how quickly Diarmuid's changed his tune, or how Waver seems to think he's getting out of getting his injection. All she does is hold her hand out expectantly, looking in Suzaku's direction- after all, he'd been the one to take them, hadn't he.]

I'll take mine after Romeo and Juliet over there are finished, just so we don't all get hit with side-effects at the same time.

It's not like the rest of us are defenseless either. I can handle myself if things go bad - I've been here longer than most of you.

You're one to talk, trying that hard to get into the other idiot's pants. And even without magic I can survive well enough.

[Suzaku nodded at Ken's words from where he was stood, he could handle himself as well] It is better to have you without magic than unconscious.

Yeah, yeah- so. Needle please? I'd like to get this over with before I pass out.

[Diarmuid looks Waver to Ken, Suzkau and the others in the room each in turn. He then shakes his head.]

Forgive me. I don't mean to suggest that the rest of you can't fight and defend us just as well. I...

[He laughs self-consciously.]

I have a tendency to take too much onto myself. If someone needs to fight, it should be me, if someone needs to sacrifice, it should be me. It's a bad habit. I'm trying to break it. Obviously, I still have a long way to go.

That is a tale for another time, though. Asagi's right. We should get things started. While we probably have all day, it is better not to press our luck.

[Ken smiles a little sheepishly.]

You might as well get it over with. I don't know if it'll work differently on different collar colors, but it's better to get it over with. The faster you do it, the faster you'll get over the side effects.

You've come along a good deal already.

[Lancer smiles reassuringly at his brother and then looks back at Asagi.]

Let's get this over quickly, alright, Missy?

No problem.

[Asagi yawns, hands on her hips, and rolls her shoulders before turning one side toward Suzaku.]

Just get me right in the upper arm, easiest that way.
