Event: Quarantine

Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings

[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.

After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

So what do you guys think all that noise is, anyway?

[Sora is on the fence between being wanting to find out, and being glad that it whatever is causing it hasn't been trying to break in. But it was still weird - it obviously wasn't their friends coming to rescue them, or the retrieval units or anything like that. At first he thought it was the sound of monsters, but it's sounding less and less like that as time goes on, especially with all the voices. Then again, the monsters here can do some really weird things...

He wasn't gonna get anywhere by just sitting around and guessing, that was for sure.]

No idea, but it doesn't sound good. [He wasn't going to try and talk to them again that was for sure]

Hopefully whatever it is can't get inside, right?

[He had a feeling that that wouldn't be good.]

[regenleif]

I hope not... after all we can't get out... [He hoped it would work the other way round]

[derping]

Well, it should work both ways. I think, anyway...

[It would if they had any luck.]

[regenleif]

Let's hope not. [He glanced at the door fearfully] They sound like people though... but not like they are prisoners like us...

[derping]

And if they aren't stuck here, then...what are they doing?

[regenleif]

I don't know... maybe they want to be here... [He's not sure why anyone would want to be here though]

[melodyoftheabyss]

I'm not sure but it cannot be good.

[ She replies, giving the boy a look. She's trying to get used to her current situation since it's a bit difficult. She doesn't know anyone here and she's heavily on guard. The noise isn't helping her paranoia as she's keeping her hands close to her knives. ]

[derping]

Probably not.

[He looks at the door, and then at Tear. It didn't seem like anything was trying to break in, even with all the noise, but...]

We should be careful, huh? In case whatever it is figures out how to get in here.

[melodyoftheabyss]

[ Tear's prepared to take action if something happened. She kept her gloved hands close to her knives. ]

Yes, I agree. We should be cautious of anything and everything. We are not certain what is outside and we are even more uncertain of what lies in here. It may not be as safe as we think.

[derping]

Wait...you think there's something in here?

[Sora doesn't sound so sure about that. Or, at least, he doesn't get where it's coming from.]

Wouldn't we have noticed by now if there was?

We can't put that possibility aside, now can we? It isn't be coincidence that the doors shut on us.

[ Even for safety measures, it was still suspicious. ]

Yes, if there is one, but it could be waiting somewhere quietly for us to let our guards down and considering the situation, it is better to be cautious than not.

[derping]

But if it's in here, where would it be hiding?

[There weren't many places in the room to hide, but...]

Should we check under all the beds or something?

I'm not sure. It's only a precaution.

[ Not that she hoped there were beasts or something down there. ]

[ She was being cautious. There might not be anything period. ]
