Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings

[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.

After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

Well, most people aren't Japanese here, either. Actually, what are we speaking?

.. I don't know. I thought it might be like a dream, since you can always understand everyone in those too.. [ And, well, this place is so weird it might as well be one of her dreams. ]

I don't know, I've had a dream once where an octopus was speaking Spanish to me. I didn't take Spanish in school.

[It was probably fake Spanish but whatever.]

It probably was dream-Spanish. I can speak dream-Spanish.

[ She nods a little as she says it.. and then actually proceeds to "speak Spanish" - aka she's mashing together some Spanish words and vague other stuff that sounds like it might be Spanish but it's just.. random sounds she made up. ]

That's pretty neat!

[He's pretty sure that's not real Spanish but hey, it would communicate with a dream octopus.]

There's a lot of dream languages I can speak. It's not that hard.

.. I don't know. Maybe nobody taught you.

[ Not like anyone taught her either, but still.. ]

Or maybe you should practice it more in your dreams. Talk to a lot of sea creatures.
