Characters: Cid and you.
Setting: Room 2-04, the workshop, cafeteria and anywhere else.
Format: Starting with prose, but will match.
Summary: Cid awakens in the Tower. Appropriate canon point means his world being destroyed makes a lot of sense. He then goes off to explore the tower and discover with horror what they've done to the tea in this horrible, horrible place.
Warnings: %^$@#$%@#!!
• Dormitories Floor (Room 2-04)
To some people, the thought that your world may have been destroyed makes absolutely no sense. But to Cid, it actually made a whole lot sense. Mind you, last thing he could remember, the meteor was crashing into the planet-- And while both Holy and the Lifestream were working at stopping it, there was no saying as to whether or not it had worked.
Guess that letter settled it. It had not worked.
Not that it really made that much sense though, since if his world had indeed been destroyed, nobody should have been able to rescue him. Well, guess there was only one way to get some straight answers. Grumbling, he went through his trunk's content and grabbed his equipment-- With his speak noticeably broken into pieces, thank you tower, before heading out. This smelt like something Shinra would do, and he needed answers.
• Cafeteria (Day 2)
Like everyone else, Cid had gone through his oatmeal the day before, but not without an healthy amount of swearing. Who in the world would want to eat oatmeal? Certainly not him. This tower was clearly as bad as it looked. He was a bit more enthusiast today though, as he had seen the other meals offered by the tower and they didn't look half as bad. He went for the pancakes first-- And then grimaced.
"... Pumpkin pancakes?" he left the pancake aside after one bite and moved on to take a bit of the roasted seeds-- Only to stop halfway in and brush the dish aside as well. "... Pumpkin flavored seeds."
The hell was up with that? At least they provided him with tea, they were decent enough, right? Not what he thought any more after drinking it.
"Goddamn pumpkin tea!" he slammed the cup on the table "$^@#*$รน%!! Why is everything infected with pumpkin in this damn cafeteria?!"
• Workshop (15th Floor)
At some point Cid found the workshop and stayed in it. The Tower had been nice enough to provide him with his weapon of choice, a spear, namely the "Venus Gospel". But unfortunately, it had been broken into pieces so as to fit into his trunk, pretty much killing the whole point of having a spear as weapon.
But no matter, he'd decided to take the matter into his own hands. Using whatever good metal he could find around, heating the spear's pieces and hammering them, he started working on putting the pieces back together into a coherent whole. He had made his first spear himself after all, fixing a broken one shouldn't be beyond his capabilities. It was tough and tiring to do, though.
• Random Corridors
You'll find Cid exploring the tower for the next couple days with his spear in hand and ready to cast a spell at the first sign of trouble. This tower got a lot of floors, too many if you asked him, but given he couldn't leave anytime soon he'd rather get to know the various floors.

[Because Ruana was an evil, sadistic bitch who had a nasty flair for causing the residents undue horror. She doesn't move when he turns to look at her, letting him take in her...unfortunate selection of clothes provided to her by the Tower.]
.......
[Her face screws into that of utter embarrassment and frustration. Really, Cid, is that the only thing you can recall when you think of her. She pushes off the door frame and moves closer, giving an audible harumph]
The name's Elena, thank you very much.

Yeah, I've been told plenty of scary story 'bout her. Been told she's worse than Sephiroth and stuff.
[ Nah, he also recalls that moment when you tried to punch Cloud, failed miserably, fell and ended up rolling away, rollin' and rollin'... Fun times. Oh and he probably remembers the encounter in Midgar that ended up not being an encounter, but this one is less funny and annoying to mention, so. ]
I know your name. Don't tell me you're all frustrated now.
[ Turks really. ]

[Of the stories to mention, Cid, she'll take the strung up on a mountain one. Just..please...don't bring up the other stories. PLEASE.]
Tch, not really. [She wouldn't want him to think he could actually irritate her.] Curiously, what's the last major event you remember happening on Gaia?

[ He probably needs to be told the big Sephiroth is here too, but details. This aside, promised he won't tell the other stories. ... For now at least, who knows what's the future is made of? ]
The Meteor crashin'. Holy was tryin' to stop it, but can't say it looked good.

[Teeth dig into the meat of her cheek, remembering fully well watching Meteor as it came down onto Midgar. They'd stayed outside as long as they could to watch before rushing the President indoors.]
Huh. Been a while since I thought about that.

[ What's with you people in that tower making things worse with every single word. He raises an eyebrow at the while bit though. ]
A while? How daya mean?

[Sorry Cid, but welcome to Horror Tower where anytime somebody tells you something, it'll 9 times out of 10 make things worse. But, hey, at least she's giving him proper warning.]
....Guess nobody has told you yet, huh? [Which means that maybe Reno hadn't told him yet and that's fine. Arms lower to her sides as she takes a deep breath.] We're all pulled from different..timelines? Universes? Its hard to tell really which is the proper word, but what matters is this. You, myself, others from Gaia, we're pulled from different points of Gaia's history.
In other words, where your last memories of Gaia are right before Meteor hit, I'm from at least two years in the future from that point. I can tell you everything that happened from your point forward - if your timeline continued down the same path as mine.
