Format: Anything
Summary: Zo has set up a carnival for the residents, but it's not meant to last. Anyone wandering after the bombs go off might see things they never wanted to see...
Warnings: Psychological and body horror
Note: Characters entering the carnival from the 27th to the 30th will experience visions! Please refer to the info post for details and reply to this thread if your character enters the carnival during these days.

[The carnival has taken up the entirety of the cafeteria. A large roller coaster and ferris wheel tower over the residents, while a child-sized roller coaster, a merry-go-round, and spinning teacups project much less daunting silhouettes. Stands are set up with standard carnival foods available, from ice cream to cotton candy. These stands do not ask for anything as payment.

On the twenty-seventh, the carnival appearance changes. The machinery all appears rusted and broken down, as if weathered with decades of rain and snow. Plants grow up and around the rides, ruining them, and all the food is rotten.]

Hey, I wasn't being serious. [Or if he was, Lancer will never know, because Shinji is embarrassed about it. His face is still red, for the record.] I was just giving you a hard time.

Alright. Guess I'll be keeping whatever I'm winning then. Don't complain if I'm giving them to someone else.

[And he's already started to play the carnival game for the big stuffed duck.]

Whatever. [He rolls his eyes.] Like I care.

[...But he stays where he is, watching Lancer as he starts to play the game. He even leans up on his toes to see over the game's counter better.]

How do you win it?

[Lanccer steps back a little to let Shinji get a better look.]

You use them to spray at the targets until it falls. Bull's eye in the furthest target back gets you the biggest prize.

[He listens as Lancer speaks, unthinkingly mouthing a little 'oh' at the explanation.]

I guess it'd be kind of cool if you could win it, then.

[This is probably the closest Lancer will get to hearing...well, a lot of things from Shinji.]

[Surprisingly, Lancer doesn't suck at this game. In fact, his luck is quite good just this once. He pins the bull's eye with a steady stream of water, and after a few downed targets, the drone running the booth hands him the duck as a prize.]
