Format: Anything
Summary: Zo has set up a carnival for the residents, but it's not meant to last. Anyone wandering after the bombs go off might see things they never wanted to see...
Warnings: Psychological and body horror
Note: Characters entering the carnival from the 27th to the 30th will experience visions! Please refer to the info post for details and reply to this thread if your character enters the carnival during these days.

[The carnival has taken up the entirety of the cafeteria. A large roller coaster and ferris wheel tower over the residents, while a child-sized roller coaster, a merry-go-round, and spinning teacups project much less daunting silhouettes. Stands are set up with standard carnival foods available, from ice cream to cotton candy. These stands do not ask for anything as payment.

On the twenty-seventh, the carnival appearance changes. The machinery all appears rusted and broken down, as if weathered with decades of rain and snow. Plants grow up and around the rides, ruining them, and all the food is rotten.]

[And guess who remembers the time when Zelda was strange and went after a small child? This gal. When she sees Zelda, she looks very nervous, and while she keeps her distance, she doesn't run away quite yet. She's curious about why the bad lady looks different.]

...Why do you look different? And why did you hurt Yotsuba?

[(Un?)Fortunately, Zelda's memories of that time are... piecemeal at best, with many holes in time due to the faulty brainwashing Jason subjected her to. So while the green shock of hair gets a faint feeling of deja vu, Yotsuba herself is unfamiliar.]

... Pardon? I am afraid I do not understand.

[She would never hurt a child!]

[For better or worse, Yotsuba was not as forgetful and started to glare a little bit at Zelda. Was she lying? Or telling the truth?]

You were a weird, scary lady before and you attacked me! You look different now though! So why do you look different?! And why did you shoot fireballs at me?!

I-- I would never--

[She bites down on the words as they come out, knowing being defensive is probably not the best thing to do here. Distress is evident in her eyes as she kneels to Yotsuba's level, at least trying to appear less threatening.]

I am sorry, I do not remember. Could you please explain what I looked like before?

[While Yotsuba didn't mind the lady kneeling down, she still kept her distance as she glared at the woman. She had forgotten her sling, and she didn't want to be hurt again.]

You had really weird horns and you shot light at me! It really hurt, and I bled and hid under the bed, but you didn't find me! You didn't talk to me either when I asked if you were a good person! You just attacked!

[Yotsuba's words disturb her, indeed, and for more than a few moments she finds herself unable to find the words to articulate her thoughts. Her voice is quiet when she speaks again.]

I... I am so sorry. Please believe me when I say I would never do such a thing while in my right mind. Ruana or Jason must have warped me somehow, if what you say is true.

[It's the only explanation she can think of.]

[While she didn't know who Ruana was, she had heard of Jason before and had associated him with the bad Administrators, so Yotsuba just lumped Ruana in with him as she thought about this woman's explanation. They must have enchanted her, like they did with the souls! She didn't wanna do it, but they made her! With that conclusion, Yotsuba nodded..and smiled.]

It's okay! The Bad Administr..Administrators must have enchanted you, like they did with Daddy and Jumbo and the other souls here! You didn't mean to, and you apologized, so it's okay!~ Yotsuba forgives you!

[Ah, the innocence of youth. Zelda returns the smile, though hers is much more sad. If only she could brush off those awful thoughts as easily.]

Thank you, Yotsuba. You are a very kind young lady.

[Sadly, Yotsuba caught that look, and once Yotsuba noticed something, she usually didn't ignore it.]

But, no. No, I am fine - just a little sad to hear the bad administrators made me do such things.

Okay! It's nice to meet you, Zelda! I'm Yotsuba Koiwai! And it is sad..but it's okay! It's not your fault! And they'll be stopped soon! Enoch and Luci and Rick and Dia and all the other good grown-ups are gonna stop them soon! So that won't happen again when they're beat!

[Ah, the innocence of children.]

No..you're a grown-up, so you can help them! They're all really good people, so they wouldn't mind! And I'm not a grown-up, but I can still be a super good support like Luci and cheer up the grown-ups when they're sad!
