Format: Anything
Summary: Zo has set up a carnival for the residents, but it's not meant to last. Anyone wandering after the bombs go off might see things they never wanted to see...
Warnings: Psychological and body horror
Note: Characters entering the carnival from the 27th to the 30th will experience visions! Please refer to the info post for details and reply to this thread if your character enters the carnival during these days.

[The carnival has taken up the entirety of the cafeteria. A large roller coaster and ferris wheel tower over the residents, while a child-sized roller coaster, a merry-go-round, and spinning teacups project much less daunting silhouettes. Stands are set up with standard carnival foods available, from ice cream to cotton candy. These stands do not ask for anything as payment.

On the twenty-seventh, the carnival appearance changes. The machinery all appears rusted and broken down, as if weathered with decades of rain and snow. Plants grow up and around the rides, ruining them, and all the food is rotten.]

[She shakes her head.]

God (Glorified and Exalted be He) will hear our prayers. And He will give us a chance to free ourselves from this cursed Tower. All it takes is time and effort.

Agreed on time and effort, but... *He just lowers his head, solemn.* ...Suffice it to say, it is not our worlds alone that we must save, but every being in every plane of existence that lived on them.

But... *he glances over at her, raises his gaze a bit to meet hers.* ...we will have this chance ourselves. He created us with all the tools we need - determination, endurance, ingenuity, and free will. We only have to use them.

[She seems to perk up at his words.]

I agree. He would never give a test with no solution.

I'm afraid it's more than a simple test. But it does not mean that we cannot solve it all the same. *He takes a deep breath.* When you pray, I do not believe it matters how, in this place. Do so as you need, but...your strength must come from you, for now.

It's nothing. *A pause.* It's...good to see another devout here.

*And from the sounds of it, one who had no objections to the whole free will thing - a good sign, for sure.*

Yes, indeed. Aside from Claudia and Kirei, you might be the only believer I have met so far.

...Though I have heard that there are Prophets and Angels here.

*On hearing she's interested in the angels here, suddenly he's more talkative...*

Ah...I have a hand in bringing a prophecy about. While I do not know if this makes me a prophet, my dearest friend is the highest of the Archangels at home. He's here in this tower...I should introduce you. It would be good for him to meet another of God's followers, I think.

[She's not sure if she should blush or go pale, so surprised is she as she realizes she might be in the presence of one of those who has met God's (Glorified and Exalted be He) Angels.]

I...I certainly would be very honored...and...very indebted to you as well. B-but I am a mere believer, so...

As was I, once. *He smiles.* Even if this tower is a nightmare otherwise, shouldn't you at least have a good memory in it, of meeting an angel?

Yes, but...do Angels not only come to the deserving, so they may deliver God's (Glorified and Exalted be He) Message or enact his will? Am I...allowed to actively seek out this Angel?

In this place, we're all only prisoners. *He stands.* If it helps ease your fears, I'll introduce you myself, so that it won't be you seeking him out.

[She blushes beet red.]

*He slings his cloaks over his shoulder and starts heading to find Lucifel.*

Ah...I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Enoch. And you are?

E-Enoch? Then you are the prophet that child was speaking of.

[She falls to her knees.]

I am truly honored to be in your presence, Prophet Idris.

[And here Lucifel had just been looking around the carnival a little only to see this from afar.

But that sight was interesting. He couldn't remember people falling on their knees in front of Enoch in their world... then again there were a lot of differences.

With a small flick of his fingers he appeared next to them, tilting his head.]

Looks like you have a fan.

You...you don't need to kneel...

*And of course Lucifel would find them first. Just as he was wondering if he'd ever gone by that name before, too. He looks up at Lucifel as he appears.*

Ah...impeccable timing. We were just going to look for you.

[glassceiling]

[Assassin, upon hearing Enoch refer to Lucifel as the one they would look for and therefore the aforementioned angel, gasps and turns her face away, covering her eyes with her hands.]

L-Lord Angel. One so base as I am not meant to look upon the glory that God (Glorified and Exalted be He) has given to you as His Messenger.

Oh?

[And that's something he hasn't been called in... he didn't remember how long.

He turns to look at Assassin then, tilting his head.]

It's fine to look, you know?

*Enoch gives Lucifel a helpless sort of look and crouches down to Assassin's level.* We're all only prisoners here. It's all right...

[glassceiling]

[She slowly turns her face toward Lucifel, though she still keeps eyes lowered.]

I am grateful to have received this permission.

[A long pause.]

You two are...the first Angel and the first Prophet I have met. It is the greatest honor I have ever received in this life.

[He got so used to Enoch being informal with him - as well as those he met here in Animus - that it feels a little odd with Assassin talking to him like that.]

Ah, you haven't been here for long then, have you? Where are my manners, I should introduce myself, shouldn't I?

I'm Lucifel.

[warriorscribe]

*Enoch stood up again and gave Lucifel a little smile.* I thought it would be good for you to meet another believer. *To Assassin:* And for you, as well.

*Those with a kind god seemed to be in the minority here.*

M-my name is Assassin.

[She looks toward Enoch.]

Thank you. Even if the one you had introduced me to was a normal man, I am still grateful for your efforts.
