Jason's hoarde of angry nurses
Characters: You. Yes, you!
Setting: December 16th through 21st, all the places!
Format: Any!
Summary: Plague doctorpanic shenanigans for the Into An Abyss event, day two and onwards until the pesky creatures stop annoying everyone. Or in the case of non-orange-collared people, maiming them.
Warnings: Monsters! Battles! Death! Orange collar badassery! The Tower! Too much to handle!!
[After a day of putting things into the strange portal on floor twenty-three, something finally comes out. Many somethings. And it seems they are not satisfied with only the stray finger to nibble on...]
PLAGUE DOCTOR BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES
- Plague doctors use physical attacks, ripping and tearing their victims to pieces with hands and teeth. They travel very quickly and, when slipping in and out of reality, can seem to teleport from one spot to the next unpredictably.
- Characters whose collars are yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet will be attacked if the plague doctors notice them.
- Characters whose collars are yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet cannot harm the plague doctors. They must hide or run.
- Plague doctors become more powerful the closer to violet the character they are attacking is. A plague doctor attacking a character with a yellow collar will be weaker than the same one attacking a character with an indigo collar.
- Characters whose collars are orange will be completely ignored by the plague doctors unless the character directly attacks one.
- Characters whose collars are orange are capable of injuring and killing plague doctors, provided the means by which they attack are entirely mundane. They cannot receive enchanted items from other characters, for example.
- Plague doctors can only be killed by completely destroying the head. It has to be crushed into pieces.
- Plague doctors will carry any retrieval unit they notice into the rift they came from.
Label the date/time/location in the header, basic mingle stuff.DO NOT forward-date anything to Wednesday the 18th or later until further notice. Edit: Open from the 16th through to the 21st! Go nuts!

How the hell?]

But he's still carrying his spear with him.]

[Diarmuid's eyes continue to scan the stairwell, just to be safe. To be honest, after yesterday this is really the last place he wants to be lingering for a chat.]
Considering all that is going on and the fact that I died to those Jason Lookalikes yesterday, I would really appreciate it if you skipped whatever other vague answers you have and for once just directly tell me what is bothering you. Especially, if it has anything to do with what is going on.

[What the fuckity fucks of fuck?!]

[Diarmuid motions to where his ears should have been.]
It's not rude, Edgeworth. I had them for about a month. Them suddenly being gone is enough to make anyone wonder what happened. You are certainly not the first to ask about it, but the answer is yes, they killed me. Rather easily too. They are frighteningly strong. I suppose it is only fitting for Jason's minions to be so, though.
[He talks about having died so calmly...]

[Oh yeah, you're talking pretty calmly for someone who has just popped it but also what you said makes no sense, Diarmuid.
Not when Edgeworth by now has had at least two scenarios of these monsters avoiding him.]

The how is pretty simple. I was ambushed on the stairs and it shattered my arm with one blow. I knew I would not be able to fight something that seemed as fast as I was and was also so strong alone, so I decided that the best course of action was to run. I had not gotten very far when it teleported in front of me and put its arm through my chest.
[He leaves out the part where it then ripped his heart out of his chest. Somehow, that doesn't seem necessary to explain, and Diarmuid isn't so sure if he can talk about that part quite as calmly as he has the rest of it.]

And yes, Edgeworth notices how calm the guy sounds after his death. Which is frightening. He probably shouldn't bring that up, though. The guy might not want to talk about it. Besides...]
I'm afraid that doesn't make sense, Diarmuid. I don't doubt that you are telling the truth.
That doesn't explain one thing, however.....[Brace yourself, Diarmuid.]
I came across these creatures three times. Each time, instead of attacking me like most grizzly monsters would do...
They just walked past me.
As if I were not there.

[Far from looking surprised, Diarmuid actually seems...curious? Satisfied? It's not the expression Edgeworth is probably expecting, whatever it is.]
That would match up with something I heard from another. It seems these creatures, whatever they are, react differently depending on the person's collar color. For whatever reason, oranges, like yourself and her, hardly seem to draw their attention at all. Violets, as we have seen with me, are not so lucky.
Of course, I don't know if this is enough evidence to suggest a pattern other than some people are luckier than others...

[Diarmuid crosses his arms over his chest, leaning against a nearby wall and gesturing with one hand.]
Most of you with orange collars have no special abilities. Yourself. Amelia. Romeo and many others. Since you have no powers, you are of no danger to him. Why waste time with those who are of no danger to him, when there are so many others out there who might pose some kind of risk? This is a foolish assumption for him to make, but at the same time, I can see him doing it considering he views even the most powerful of us as mere toys.
