Summary: Riki's offered a way to help keep the Tower powered a little longer. Obviously this is going to cause a lot of discussion and debate so let's CONSOLIDATE
Warnings: Nothing as of yet. Possibly eventually, so keep an eye on subject lines and I 'll try to change to reflect any developments

[No doubt Riki's announcement would be polarizing, but the instructions themselves were clear: Floor 1 at noon if you want to help out. And if you want to meet people, try to talk them in or out of it? Or hell, maybe even just talk about the revelation on who is behind those explosions? Well, this is as good a place as any for that too.

Just remember to be careful near the staircase]

[Xion carefully lays the sweater aside.]

Thanks.

[She unfolds the napkin and takes a bite out of the sandwich. Normally pretty good, not-vegetable fare would have made her ravenous, but right now her mouth feels about as dry as Agrabah. It's making chewing and swallowing difficult.

Sorry she's not too forthcoming with chatter, Asch. She's got a lot on her mind.]

[Which is perfectly fine, seeing as he's not particularly chatty either. The sight of the machine, and the thought of being tied down into it, weighs too much on his mind still.

Xion's probably halfway through the sandwich by the time he speaks up again, even at the rate she's going.]

I can't say I'm surprised it was Jason.

[Xion swallows a little roughly, making her cough a bit before she's able to speak.]

I guess I'm not either.

[Truth be told she hadn't put too much into theorizing who they might be. There had always been enough going on elsewhere that she'd been suitably distracted]

But... I guess I don't understand why though.

[An experiment? Aria had said that Jason saw everything as an experiment...]

The first time I can understand - I'd always wondered if he hadn't unleashed the shadow children intentionally.

[It had happened while the scientist was in charge, even, and he'd certainly taken plenty of time before restoring those who'd had their energy all drained.]

It's the rest I can't figure out.

[Xion pauses, putting her sandwich down to thing]

The next time was when Riki came to talk to us. After that, it was Zo's carnival. And now.

Maybe he doesn't want the other admins interacting with us?

[Except what would be the motivation for now then? Unless he was just angry about last month?]

And both of those times, we wound up seeing things from the Tower's past.

[He frowns and folds his arms.]

Be careful down there. If you're strapped in like that, you can't escape from whatever it is you're seeing.

[Xion's expression drops like a stone, arms wrapping around herself. He didn't need to remind her of what awaited.]

It's not what I'll see that I'm most afraid of.

You'll be fine. If it's important enough to you that you go, then you'll find some way to get through it.

[He's not good at pep talks.]

[Xion grimaces, but it's true enough. You really are bad at this though, Asch.]

Yeah. That's what I keep trying to tell myself, anyway.

[That's why he leaves the empowering speeches to Luke.]

It's the truth. Your will to do it is the only thing they can't take away from you.

[At least, that's what he's always telling himself.]

I'm hoping there's some other things they can't, too.

[It's said with a smile, but she's more than half-serious. The idea that there were other precious things they could take from her, memories, first of all, was scary. And something she didn't enjoy contemplating]
