Summary: Riki's offered a way to help keep the Tower powered a little longer. Obviously this is going to cause a lot of discussion and debate so let's CONSOLIDATE

[No doubt Riki's announcement would be polarizing, but the instructions themselves were clear: Floor 1 at noon if you want to help out. And if you want to meet people, try to talk them in or out of it? Or hell, maybe even just talk about the revelation on who is behind those explosions? Well, this is as good a place as any for that too.

Just remember to be careful near the staircase]

Sometimes it doesn't matter if you sit out or not around here. It's about finding out what we can do, so don't feel too bad. Some of us have been here years and we don't know much more than we started with. Kinda down to chance.

Sometimes what matters is if you're helpin' out in the little things.

[He holds out a hand.]

[David's guilt melts away as he listens to Reno, replaced by a more positive look of determination. He nods in agreement, then when Reno offers his hand, David grins and gives him a firm handshake.]

Reno, eh. Nice to meetcha—present circumstances aside, heh.

[Though, "present circumstances aside" could apply to the Tower regardless of what's happening, couldn't it ...]

I take it you've been pretty involved in findin' out what stuff we can do? Given you're an intel agent an' all.

Yeah, same. And you could say that. Hasn't been easy, people've been pretty tight lipped...

[Shrug.]

I'm involved with Ragnarok.

Dat's been a stickin' point for me, too. People don't wanna discuss stuff where da admins're watching. But where da heck is safe in dis tower?

[David's curious as to what Ragnarok is, but he'll ask in a minute. The name does strike him as amusing, though, given what Reno was fighting against in his own world.]

Nowhere. That's the problem.

[Whoever said a Turk didn't have a sense of humor?]

[David snorts as a sort of voiceless chuckle.]

Arright, so what's dis Ragnarok? I'm guessin' it's some kinda group here, right?

Yeah. Mostly we just make sure everybody's fed and clothed against the cold, y'know?

[The emphasis is added purposefully, and he hopes David will pick up that he didn't want to discuss the other aspects of Ragnarok just then for sensitive reasons.]

Some of us offer weapons and unarmed training, monster patrols, stuff like that.

[David ... senses there's some implications there. It reminds him a lot of what it was like working with a pair of government agents who were focused on disrupting and taking down Malta Group. Always referring to them as "our Friends."]

[So, he gives a hesitant nod. The trick would be finding out where, exactly, would be safe for Reno and David to discuss whatever it is Ragnarok really does under the surface.]

I getcha. Helpin' da helpless, doin' da best you can to keep people safe an' sound.

[David grins.]

Sounds like my kinda gig.
