Will you or won't you

Characters: Anybody and everybody
Setting: Floor 1, before noon
Summary: Riki's offered a way to help keep the Tower powered a little longer. Obviously this is going to cause a lot of discussion and debate so let's CONSOLIDATE
Warnings: Nothing as of yet. Possibly eventually, so keep an eye on subject lines and I 'll try to change to reflect any developments

[No doubt Riki's announcement would be polarizing, but the instructions themselves were clear: Floor 1 at noon if you want to help out. And if you want to meet people, try to talk them in or out of it? Or hell, maybe even just talk about the revelation on who is behind those explosions? Well, this is as good a place as any for that too.

Just remember to be careful near the staircase]

...Of course. Is that not what I am, beyond any doubt?

[He shrinks into himself. It was nice to meet someone from around his time, but...]

Someone who could betray a prophet and a friend thus can't be anything less than a monster.

Then...do you feel any guilt? Or have you tried to repent?

[She had expected a cocky confession, but he looks...sorrowful? Or is it sad?]
thirtybits: (to believe in Jesus)

O-of course! I-- why else would I have hung myself? Regardless of who he is on a religious level, I murdered a man who was my friend, who I loved above others...! Even a monster would have to feel guilt over that.

...No. A monster is something that would never feel guilt. So long as you can feel guilt, and you can do things to make up for your faults, then you aren't a monster.

[Though his suicide was a waste. No one should ever take their own life.]
thirtybits: (sometimes you try to freeze time til)

[He shakes his head.] Guilt doesn't change anything. It can't begin to make up for it.

God (Glorified and Exalted be He) must be the one to forgive you. So long as you repent sincerely to him and do not repeat the crime, I am sure even you can find forgiveness.
thirtybits: (but I was looking)

[personal profile] thirtybits 2014-02-10 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
[He rubs his neck.] Well, actually, I sort of have, for...about a year before coming here? Or anyway, I was taken out of Hell.

Taken out of hell?

[Her eyes go wide in shock.]

Can anyone actually do that sort of thing?
thirtybits: (some people crash two or three times)

[personal profile] thirtybits 2014-02-10 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well, God, naturally. It was an Archangel who came for me, though.

I see...

[She slowly nods. That is a strange show of God's (Glorified and Exalted be He) Grace, but who is she to question it?]

Then, if you have already been forgiven, all you can do is move on. Even if you are Judas Iscariot, I will be glad to stay beside you and help.
thirtybits: (just to see what you can stand)

[personal profile] thirtybits 2014-02-10 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
...That's surprisingly kind of you.

I am only doing what any true believer would.
thirtybits: (is raining from the sky the sea)

[personal profile] thirtybits 2014-02-11 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
I...I suppose that's true, isn't it?

[Suddenly, things make a lot more sense. Claudia, for example.]

Um, anyway, Judea is a very nice area! The sea is beautiful.

Really? I've only seen the sea once. My homeland was covered in mountains and deserts.
