Yeah, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't dream up something this dull.

[His words come out a touch shaky-- like he's straining to keep a confident tone. To his credit, he at least manages a faint smile as he speaks.]

I just hope it's nothing serious. You can never really tell with this place.

[Ion smiles as well, though his is colored by a touch of ruefulness.]

I hope for the same. I fear our surroundings could change at any moment.

[Or, more alarmingly, an unseen enemy could begin to pursue them. Ion doesn't even dare say such a thing, less it be a prediction that proves itself true.]

Either way, we should stay together. I'm sure we're safer in numbers...especially in the dark.

[At least together they had some light. Not that there was anything to illuminate except for each other.]

Though I gotta say, this black space sure beats some of the floors in the tower. Long as we stay on guard, we should be fine.
