Sleepover before the storm

Characters: [OU] Xion, Excalibur, and whoever comes
Setting: Floor 101
Format: Whatever floats your boat
Summary: It's the night before the infiltration. People are plotting, discussing, and Xion has brought a Dream Eater so those who want to try to get a good night's sleep have a marginally higher chance of doing so. So in short it's a Tower-flavored sleepover. Bring your own pillows.
Warnings: Nothing in the top level. Will try to edit if anything changes but if something comes up in one of your threads make sure to add a warning in the subject line

======================

[Standard mingle post procedure. Make your top levels. Tag around. Have fun. Or not, this is Animus after all.

Notes will have been passed out and quiet discussion gone around by word of mouth, just saying that several people were spending the night in the hidden floor. Anybody who spoke to Xion would have been told that she's trying to figure out a way everybody can get a good night's sleep. You'll need to supply your own blankets and pillows but... hey, at least if you have trouble sleeping, you'll have company?

Note that any characters who sleep on the Hidden Floor, if they normally suffer from nightmares will likely have notably lessened or absent nightmares (up to your discretion) owing to the Dream Eater that Xion has brought with.]

[He had a feeling. Anyway, he motions for her to turn around.]

Let me fix your hair for you. Going down there with your hair in your face isn't a great idea. Plus, I always found someone doing my hair calming. I thought it might help you, too.

Let you fix--

[It's pretty clear that isn't something she was expecting. She stares with confusion for a moment, one hand reaching up to pull a bit at her hair, and the prideful part of her has half a mind to refuse, not wanting people who view her as a leader to see her in such a girlish position.

... But Naoya is genuinely trying to help, and she knows well enough that's a rare thing. So, with only a bit of reluctance, she pulls a nearby chair over and sits in front of him.]

I was not planning on going down with my hair loose.

[Little concessions, though.]

[He just grins a little, and pulls a makeshift comb out from his pocket. He carefully reaches out and runs it through her hair, making sure he doesn't tug it.]

I can give you a backrub too if you want, but I don't know if that would make you uncomfortable. I imagine your shoulders are stiff after all of that reading, though.

[To her credit, she sits still, if a bit awkwardly. Her back is kept straight and her hands kept clasped neatly in her lap, and overall one might get the sense she hasn't done anything like this in a very long time.]

Oh, no, that is all right. It is nothing a bit of stretching will not work out.

All right.

[He brushes through it, working out any tangles. It's pretty clear he's done this many times before.]

In this lifetime, my aunt would brush my hair when I was younger. She would tell me I looked like a girl with my hair long, but I always hated haircuts. I only got it cut short because school regulations didn't let boys have hair much further past their ears.

[It... is actually soothing the longer it goes on, as he said it would be. Slowly, some of the nervous tension in her shoulders starts to dissipate.]

... That seems like a rather silly thing to regulate, if you ask me.

[Medieval life.]

They regulate a lot of things about appearance and behavior during school years in Japan. It's supposed to promote uniformity and being part of a group.
