Sleepover before the storm
Characters: [OU] Xion, Excalibur, and whoever comes
Setting: Floor 101
Format: Whatever floats your boat
Summary: It's the night before the infiltration. People are plotting, discussing, and Xion has brought a Dream Eater so those who want to try to get a good night's sleep have a marginally higher chance of doing so. So in short it's a Tower-flavored sleepover. Bring your own pillows.
Warnings: Nothing in the top level. Will try to edit if anything changes but if something comes up in one of your threads make sure to add a warning in the subject line
======================
[Standard mingle post procedure. Make your top levels. Tag around. Have fun. Or not, this is Animus after all.
Notes will have been passed out and quiet discussion gone around by word of mouth, just saying that several people were spending the night in the hidden floor. Anybody who spoke to Xion would have been told that she's trying to figure out a way everybody can get a good night's sleep. You'll need to supply your own blankets and pillows but... hey, at least if you have trouble sleeping, you'll have company?
Note that any characters who sleep on the Hidden Floor, if they normally suffer from nightmares will likely have notably lessened or absent nightmares (up to your discretion) owing to the Dream Eater that Xion has brought with.]

What kind of decisions she'll make.
She also wants to keep an eye on Excalibur, who will likely be so full from tonight's feast of nightmares that she might get some for the next week simply because he's not hungry. She still doesn't know what to think about him being hers now, about what it meant. In either case though, she knows that Excalibur bears a certain resemblance to one of the Tower monsters, and wants to be there to intercept any problems that might arise. The last thing she wants is for her last reminder of Sora to be killed because of a case of mistaken identity.
Still, she'll catch the eye of anybody who comes in, particularly those she knows. She might have words of welcome, and if anybody wants to chat about the infiltration or otherwise, she'll be willing, if a bit reluctant.
In the early hours of the morning, Xion's exhaustion will finally start to kick in and she'll start nodding off, try as she might to stay awake. She can be found then, with her Dusk, Sunny standing guard. Eventually, even Excalibur trots over and curls up next to her, kicking his feet into the air contentedly.
Alternately, at any point in the night you might run into Excalibur himself earlier in the night or even the previous evening. While he might look a bit like a certain Tower monster, in reality this unaltered Dream Eater is much more bouncy and cute and cheerful. No wings, either. However it is possible to mistake it for a Komory Wow...
Or just give him pets. He likes those too.]

[Diarmuid's voice is soft as he approaches her from where he has been acting as something of a self-appointed guard over those in the room. Besides him his dog, Mac an Chuill, follows quietly and calmly. Diarmuid's not going down below at Waver's request and doesn't need to sleep anyway, but that doesn't mean he won't do everything he can to make sure those who need to sleep get it, even if that means throwing out one of their own who is causing trouble.
He really doesn't think it will come to that though, thankfully.]
Or do you just have too much on your mind to sleep?

That doesn't mean that it isn't dangerous, though - anyone watching ligers with Arietta would conclude that they weren't dangerous with the way they piled on her and groomed her hair, and those people would be the first ones eaten if she gave the order. So, hands out, let the critter get a good sniff...

So she came, bringing her own pillow and blanket of course and setting herself against one of the walls where no one was to look over information. She wasn't exactly planning on sleeping much, but that wont stop her from dozing off every so often, only to jolt herself awake again.]

[At some point, however, she'll notice how tense the atmosphere is. And it has every right to be so - it is entirely likely people will die tomorrow. ... But it also sort of defeats the purpose of why Xion set this whole thing up; even Zelda can see that, busybody that she is.
So, later in the evening, Zelda will make a short trip back to her dormitory, returning with her iconic harp. Settling herself a bit away from those who are already asleep, she begins to play a soft melody, humming along in accompaniment.
It always helped her sleep when she was otherwise too scared to. Hopefully it'll help someone else.]

However, as the night draws on, it seems the quiet and the lingering tiredness from all that has been going on combine to work against him, and Diarmuid eventually changes position, moving to a wall near where Waver is and settling against it. The dog lays next to him with his head in his owner's lap.
Diarmuid's eyes are closed. Is he sleeping or just resting? He'll never tell...

He didn't imagine it'd be anything like this.
He of course wants to join the infiltration, so though he's used to running on little sleep, he thought he might come upstairs to rest. This way, he should be at full strength for the next morning. Ryoji had hoped a few people would still be talkative but it was quiet, everyone either sleeping or just awaiting the morning with dreadful anticipation. He notices the Dream Eater, remembers how Riku's looked, and is tempted to play with it, but he restrains himself.
He moves to a corner of the room and sets up his bedding. If anyone wants to speak with him, he'd be relieved for the conversation.]
no subject
Maybe she should be more tense. This is almost like an upcoming battle. Infiltration, sneaking, spying, observing. It's like she's a young woman again. Maybe that should bother her more, but it doesn't.
She gives a tight smile when she notices Ryoji, approaching the boy carefully.]

Now, while she's trying to rationalize this as being no different than entering a new place in the TV world, it's a whole lot harder. Logically? It's just entering different territory. Emotionally?
...she knows how many people have died just getting down there, much less getting anything important.
Yukiko's finding it hard to actually get any sleep, even if she did bring pillows and a blanket with her. She might be curled up with her back to one of the walls, but she's wide awake.]

afraidnervous about actually staying up there, considering who else is there, and why not? They need a guard outside, too.Guarding from what? That, Grainne's not quite so sure of.
Sometimes, she can be found on the hidden floor making a round to see if anybody needs pillows or blankets... or something from the cafeteria. If anybody looks particularly insomniac, she will ask if they need help with sleep. Tea or magic seems to be the options she offers.
Very, very rarely, she might be found resting in the corner of the hidden floor with Mac an Chuill's head in her lap, which she pets absently.]

He have brought his own pillow and blanket, but despite it and his love for sleep... Minato's having his uncommon insomnia bouts again.
Which means he would get up and walked around, seeing who else was here. He might offer to keep people company, but otherwise stay quiet.
The sleepiness eventually kicked in later, and he tried to walk back to his spot. Just...be careful not to be in his way. He's not completely focused right now.]

But that had been exactly his thought when he went to Riki. In trying to move everyone forward he could have set everyone back irreparably. He could have effectively killed billions of people.
Maybe he was simply tired, worn down by the tower. He didn't know what to do. But he came to the sleepover anyway, wrapped up in a cozy blanket summoned for him by Lucifel. After a while, spent turning and adjusting and eventually hugging the pillow he was trying to sleep on, he pushes himself partway up and glances about. Surely he can't be the only person who can't sleep.*

Tardy to the party - as usual
Which, considering all that had happened recently, she didn't think it was right she continue to hide out like she had been. It had been a major failure on her part to communicate to anybody where she'd been and there's little to no excuses as to why she'd disappeared for as long as she had. The effects of Sephiroth's little incident had slowly worn away until they were nothing more than a dull ebb, though they still lingered. Ghost whispers that questioned, doubted.
Elena is somewhere along the wall-line, watching the group quietly. Arms are folded protectively across her chest, a finger lifting every once in a while to rub at what looked like a still raw scar that stretched down below her hairline towards her eye, stopping barely halfway.
Let the others sleep, she'll serve watch to make sure nothing interrupts the others.]

LATE AS FUCK i'm so sorry
It's a little overwhelming.
Link doesn't remember much of the time he spent back on Termina, but he's still feeling the effects, even if he doesn't understand what they are or where they came from. He spent so much time, so much time alone, that even though he had wished so dearly to have someone with him, being suddenly in the midst of a crowd like this is disorienting. He doesn't know how he's feeling; he doesn't know what to do.
So he ends up lingering on the fringes, wallflowering the hell out of it. He sees people he knows -- friends -- but reaching them means broaching the group.]
