Setting: Floor 101
Format: Whatever floats your boat
Summary: It's the night before the infiltration. People are plotting, discussing, and Xion has brought a Dream Eater so those who want to try to get a good night's sleep have a marginally higher chance of doing so. So in short it's a Tower-flavored sleepover. Bring your own pillows.
Warnings: Nothing in the top level. Will try to edit if anything changes but if something comes up in one of your threads make sure to add a warning in the subject line

[Standard mingle post procedure. Make your top levels. Tag around. Have fun. Or not, this is Animus after all.

Notes will have been passed out and quiet discussion gone around by word of mouth, just saying that several people were spending the night in the hidden floor. Anybody who spoke to Xion would have been told that she's trying to figure out a way everybody can get a good night's sleep. You'll need to supply your own blankets and pillows but... hey, at least if you have trouble sleeping, you'll have company?

Note that any characters who sleep on the Hidden Floor, if they normally suffer from nightmares will likely have notably lessened or absent nightmares (up to your discretion) owing to the Dream Eater that Xion has brought with.]

[Xion shakes her head. She's... already trusted him with almost everything else. And given earlier conversations, it's possible Reno may have told him certain parts of this already]

Back home... Riku and Sora were best friends. For... for a long time. Since they were little. For me... [She wraps her arms around herself] I'm made from his memories. The Organization wanted the power of the keyblade, but they couldn't control Sora. So they took some of his memories and made me from them.

The one who was here didn't remember any of that though - he's from too early. But he... He was like a big brother to me. And when he found out what happens... [She closes her eyes, her face tightening in distress] He said to find another way. That he didn't want me to disappear for his sake.

I know... there are ways back home to make that happen... but I don't know how, and there are so many ways I could just make things worse.

Made from his memories...

[Diarmuid repeats the words softly as if it might help what she has said make more sense. It's not that he doubts it. He has always believed that memories are what make a person who they are, but to use them alone to give someone life...

It's a validation of his beliefs...just in the worst way possible considering what they wanted to use her for. Still, she is more than the purpose they created her for and in the end, that is the important thing. Her strength. Her caring. Why she was created doesn't matter now that she has control over her own destiny.

If she doesn't pull away, Diarmuid will pull Xion closer into a tight hug for a moment, before releasing her so he can look into her eyes.]

I never got to meet Sora like I said, but Riku said he always was able to smile and make people happy no matter how grim things were. Now I understand better why you can do the same thing. Listen to Sora. He's right. The path might be long and difficult, but you will find a way to make everything okay.

[Diarmuid is just... full of words that have profound impact today.]

You... you really think I do that?

[Smile and make people smile? That's... that was part of the thing that made Sora so very special. Along with being able to see the good in everything. To be compared to him like that... there's an odd mix of emotions in her chest. And not bad ones.]

And... I'll try.

[She says it with a little more conviction this time.]

[Diarmuid nods, his expression confident. All he has to do is think when Reno or Shion talk about her and he knows it's true. Sure there are times when they have been worried about her, but there have also been so many times they have smiled and been happy because of her.]

All I ask of anyone is that they try, and so that is all I ask of you. Try your best and the answers will come.

[A smile crosses his face and he tightens his arm around her.]

Though for now, how about you focus on trying for some sleep?

[Now that all of the emotional upheavals are over, the exhaustion that tends to accompany such things is well and truly setting in. She sags against him even more thoroughly than before. She really is tired. And it's showing]

I... I really should, shouldn't I?

Yeah. Go on and try. I don't mind being a pillow if it will help. I've been told once or twice I'm actually pretty comfortable to sleep on.

[Diarmuid laughs and then the arm his has around her tightens for one last hug.]

Get some rest. You deserve it and you will need all your strength come tomorrow.
