Sleepover before the storm

Setting: Floor 101
Format: Whatever floats your boat
Summary: It's the night before the infiltration. People are plotting, discussing, and Xion has brought a Dream Eater so those who want to try to get a good night's sleep have a marginally higher chance of doing so. So in short it's a Tower-flavored sleepover. Bring your own pillows.
Warnings: Nothing in the top level. Will try to edit if anything changes but if something comes up in one of your threads make sure to add a warning in the subject line

[Standard mingle post procedure. Make your top levels. Tag around. Have fun. Or not, this is Animus after all.

Notes will have been passed out and quiet discussion gone around by word of mouth, just saying that several people were spending the night in the hidden floor. Anybody who spoke to Xion would have been told that she's trying to figure out a way everybody can get a good night's sleep. You'll need to supply your own blankets and pillows but... hey, at least if you have trouble sleeping, you'll have company?

Note that any characters who sleep on the Hidden Floor, if they normally suffer from nightmares will likely have notably lessened or absent nightmares (up to your discretion) owing to the Dream Eater that Xion has brought with.]

[Excalibur bounces over, rubbing against her arms happily in a sort of Dream Eater cuddle - even attempting to bump his nose up against her face a little and sniff - before, seeming to realize what she said, trundling back over in the direction of Xion with a squeak. Xion, meanwhile, was taking the time to sort out the contents of her sack of precious things. The letters were carefully tucked under her foot, folded so the contents were hard to see. But then there were the shells, the slightly rumpled paper animals Yu left her...

This might also be an attempt to keep herself awake to make sure nobody reacted badly to Excalibur, but that's another matter...]

[That actually makes Sheba giggle - rare enough these days - and she bumps her nose back against him before trailing off after him to Xion. The other girl seems busy, and Sheba hesitates - it shouldn't be this difficult to just speak up, but... it sort of is.

After a moment, though, she clears her throat.]

...Xion?

[Xion's head jerks up. It's not the first time she's been addressed this evening, so she's not entirely surprised. However it takes her a moment to realize that while she does recognize the voice, she certainly shouldn't have been expecting it's owner. Her eyes widen, and after a few moments, a relieved smile breaks across her face]

You're back! I- [She looks down at her hopelessly cluttered lap, clearly dismayed that she can't immediately jump to her feet and run towards her friend.]

Sorry

[She hastily begins piling the objects back into the bag.]

Yes... I'm back.

[She's not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing, really; wandering Weyard had been awful, but now that she's actually back here... she doesn't know what to do. She's feeling very drained, from everything she experienced up until her disappearance and the soul-crushing loneliness she'd suffered during it.

She tries to put on a smile, though, because sad thoughts are no good for a reunion. It comes out looking a little awkward.]

It's good to see you again. [Since Xion can't come to her, she crosses over to her and crouches down before indicating the pile of things on her lap.] Do you need help?

Oh, um... [She pauses] Sure! Just... be careful.

[She knows she probably doesn't need to say that. She knows Sheba wouldn't be careless. But the objects in general are precious enough to her that it's just automatic to be nervous at others handling them.

Still, she moves the bag in front of her so Sheba will be able to reach it more easily]

I will be.

[She smiles, a little, and very carefully sets to helping Xion put the things away. It's a few moments before she speaks up again.]

This was really good of you, by the way... putting this whole thing together. There never have been many chances to relax around here.

Thanks.

[At Sheba's words, she turns slightly pink, and smiles]

Yeah... and, it's really important. Now more than ever, with tomorrow. It's why I brought Excalibur. He's always helped me get a good night's sleep. I was hoping he'd help other people t-

[At that moment, Excalibur decides he wants to help too, trying to nose his way in between the two of them, pawing his way less-than-carefully. Xion yelps.]

Excalibur!
