1 hour in I guess
Eventually he could move and he rolled slightly to the side, opening his eyes and sitting up, confused, when he realised he wasn't in his bed. Confusion led to panic as he realised he was in a cell. It took a moment for him to see that there were others in similar situations. "Xion? Reno?" His voice caught as he remembered the last he had seen them, Reno being chased by Riki and Xion...
Xion his little sister bursting through to save Reno. He felt a well of pride just remembering, but it was shadowed by fear. What had Riki done to them? He peered out, trying to pick out faces, who was here? Why were they here? What were Ruana and Riki planning next?

"Shion!" she called back, clambering over as best she was able to in the direction she thought she'd heard his voice come from. Sweeping her eyes across the room, she wasn't quite able to pin down which cell was his though. "I'm here. Where are you?"
One of her family was here. The first of her family she'd heard from since she woke up.

"I'm here... Are you alright?"
no subject
A bit more glancing around and she had him. He was several cells down from hers, at an angle that made it easier to see him out of the side of her cell rather than the front.
"We did something crazy getting Riki out of the Tower, and I landed wrong, but... I'm okay otherwise," she continued. No need to talk about almost dying. Really dying. No need to upset him.
no subject
"What hurts?" He wished he was nearer to her, but he could at least attempt to instruct her in taking care of whatever injury she had from a distance.
no subject
At his question though, she paused. Shion was one of the people best able to handle this out of anybody. He didn't have any magic or powers, but knew more than she ever could about medical sorts of things. If anybody could help her with this, he could. Because if the time came and they had to move, the last thing she wanted was to be a burden.
"My knee," she admitted, "We've been able to heal it some but powers aren't working now, and it's still harder to stand or walk too much."
no subject
Her knee, he frowned wishing again he was closer so he could see it and examine it. She wasn't screaming so he would hope it wasn't broken, but she was Xion and he could fully see her continuing with a broken knee and hiding her pain.
He took a deep breath, banishing the part of him that wanted to scream himself, or kill Ruana with his bare hands even if it meant certain death. He had to stay calm, help Xion and hopefully they would escape.
"Can you look at it? Tell me what it looks like, and exactly how it feels."
no subject
"It's a little hard to move, though less hard than it was before the healing," she admitted, wishing they were closer too, so she didn't have to be announcing this for too much of the room to hear, "It hurts a little, though not too much right now. It looks... maybe a bit swollen, I think. I think there might be bruises around the side." She reached out and poked the areas in question, wincing a little. Okay bad idea.
no subject
He still couldn't fully dismiss a break and he worried because if it was a break the swelling would be protecting the bones. But if it wasn't... He frowned, thinking. If it was a break then nothing could be done about it, no matter what in five hours everything would change and they wouldn't be in these wireframe bodies anymore. Whatever the outcome.
If it were a sprain he could probably help her enough to give her a fighting chance when the time came. He made his decision.
"Try and lift your leg, prop it up against the wall if you can, it might be easier if you lie down..." Not the easiest or more comfortable way, but he was working with what they had. "Do you have anything you could use as a bandage?"
no subject
"Yeah, I should," she replied, though with a bit of a grimace. All she really had were bits of the clothing she'd made over the months, and her pouch of precious things, which wasn't an option. She should be able to do without a few strips of the fabric from her shirt though, she supposed.
no subject
Again things that would be easier if he were there and could bandage it himself, still she should have an idea, she had seen him bandage her injuries many times by now.
no subject
With that done, she lay back down.
"I wish you were here, to check for me," she admitted quietly, though loud enough for her to hear him. Check and make sure she'd done it right. "Anything else?"
no subject
"I wish I was too." He said softly and shook his head, "No, nothing that can be done here anyways." There was plenty more that was needed, ice for a start. But stuck in a cell with only what they had on them...
"Just rest it, keep it up like that and tell me if it changes, if the pain gets worse."

Diarmuid is very thoroughly studying his cell for any weakness or ways out when he hears Shion's voice. He might not be one of the two the boy is calling for, but he is very happy to hear Shion's words anyway. When Reno had brought Shion back to the hidden room dead, Diarmuid had been afraid that was it--that just like Rick, Shion was gone. After all, with them actively fighting her and so little time left, why would Ruana bother bringing any of them back?
He still doesn't understand why she did if she is as mad as she claims, but he is very relieved nonetheless.
"Xion's here, but I haven't heard from Reno yet. I...don't think he is here..." Indeed, Diarmuid hasn't heard from Suzaku either or Saber. "If this is punishment for killing Riki, I don't understand why she would separate us like this. She said she would show us all."
Not some. All...
no subject
"He's not here." Shion said softly, "I just hope he is alright."
A punishment, though some where not here. Which left the question of where they were.
"Who did? Ruana?"
no subject
"Yes, after Xion and the others killed Riki, there was this...pulse or wave that went through the Tower. Ruana...was not happy with what they did and shouted that displeasure at all of us before making us all pass out. We woke up here. Who knows where the others woke up. What she shouted at us was that she would show us all. Not what, just that she would."
And with Ruana, that 'what' could be just about anything...
no subject
"She would show us..." He felt cold thinking of what she could be showing them and why there were some people not there. "I guess we will find out soon enough."
no subject
Or is there?
"How are you hanging in there, Shion? Are your emotions staying steady?"
no subject
He breathed, in and out and almost missed the next question. "I'm alright... I'm in control." Mostly, he could feel the darkness of his mind, of madness and rage and fear, waiting in his shadow for him to fall into it but he was clinging to the now, to Xion in the cage three down from his, to Diarmuid's voice. Nothing would come of giving in and so he was forcing himself into calmness.
no subject
"Xion's hurt. She probably told you that and once we get out of here, she's going to need your help. You can do that, right?"
no subject
"I know... I tried to help her but I can't do much from here, she's resting at the moment." Glancing over to check she was doing that and hadn't sat up again.
no subject
"She will need your help more once we are moving from here. It might be a good idea to save up some extra energy just in case."
no subject
"Does anyone have a plan?"
no subject
"I know more than one person has searched their cells carefully to see if they can find a way out. What about you? Does anything catch your eyes?"
no subject
If no one had found a way out then Shion was sure there wasn't one, but he looked anyways. It was something to do and it was something he could do.
He looked around, looking for any kind of weak spots. "I assume people have tried smashing the glass..."
