Welcome to a teenage wasteland!

Gilgamesh listened to the details given with an interested hum -- the thought of such an elaborate setup was in a few ways not unlike the Holy Grail War. But demons... Hah. Perhaps he should have spent more time prodding the first murderer about the happenings in his world.

He stopped at the shouting coming from a distance away, turning his attention to the glowing forms approaching them. His curious frown gives way for a smirk as he recognizes Enoch, and he lifts a hand in greeting. "I see you're still in one piece, warrior of God."

If you'd rather these two join another thread just let me know!

A pair of wireframes are wandering about, too, she'll find. Enoch and Lucifel, from their clothes. Their hands are clasped, and Enoch's body language is tense enough that he might as well be clinging to his arm instead, if it wouldn't hamper their movement. They seem to see her in the distance, though, and approach slowly, and eventually, Enoch breaks from Lucifel to run, forcing his companion to run to keep up with him.

"Saber...?"

((ooc: Don't worry about waiting up for Lucifel unless he's directly addressed or until his player's available, she's given me permission to handwave him being with Enoch here.))

The new portal opening had Grainne's hopes up (dammit) for a second, until out popped two more people in wireframes. She got the sense that there would be a lot of that happening in the future. Well, at least it gave her something else to think about other than the desolation and the others' talk of a foreign war.

"Ah-?" The voice sounded familiar, she had spoken to him a time or two, didn't she? "Grainne. I was the one with the tea."

Another portal opens, and two more wireframes step through, one leading the other by the hand. They're recognizable by their clothes as Lucifel and Enoch, though they've clearly seen enough worlds that their features are more distinguishable through the wireframes as well. The two approach the gathered group, Enoch raising his hand in a wave. He's glad to see such a relatively large group, and his returning strength is lifting his spirits.

"Hello, everyone. Are any of you feeling stronger than when we left the tower?"

Naturally, he has no way of knowing that subject was just discussed. Doubtless, that's a little annoying.

((ooc: Lucifel's presence is handwaved with player permission, unless he's directly addressed or the player is available, since she's very busy. Just letting you guys know not to wait up for him if he's not spoken to!))
warriorscribe: (Consigned to the wind)

Having two more around okay?

[personal profile] warriorscribe 2014-07-19 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
((actually, one more, because Lucifel's presence is generally handwaved unless he's directly addressed or his player is available. She's been very busy.))

They would be joined by more as another portal opened. Enoch and Lucifel stepped through, and the former glanced around and gave a frustrated sigh. They kept getting split up...

In any case, Enoch started towards the sound of voices, leading Lucifel along until they'd found their fellow wireframe and the one native. At least the corpses here were normal.

It was clear they'd seen a few worlds by now, the images within the wireframe more defined, not quite as ghostly, and Enoch moved with an ease that suggested he was comfortable in his own body.

Though the odd thing was, he wasn't terribly familiar with either of these people. Not as if it mattered, it just disrupted the pattern that he'd noticed with the other worlds. As if it was the most natural thing in the world, he crossed the room to them, raised a hand in a truncated greeting, and knelt down near the two, himself. He knew how it felt to be on a dead world. The more people around, the better.

"Hello."

[Shooting Diarmuid a wicked half-smirk, Reno nods.]

Exactly. C'mon. It isn't far, but it might be a walk...

[He hesitates, then looks to Xion, frowning for a moment. The decision comes quickly, and he reaches to pick her up.]

Maybe we can get something real good for your leg, too, Sweets.
midgarhorizon: (this ones weird sis)

[personal profile] midgarhorizon 2014-07-19 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
It redirected?

[Reno sounds alarmed, his eyebrows pressing together in a worried look. He isn't blaming her for anything. They did the best they could. With how badly things had gone before, he wasn't going to blame anyone except the administrators.]

After what happened with the machines when we were up against Riki the first time, why'd you try risking that?
puppy_lancer: (They're rolling out the guns again)

[personal profile] puppy_lancer 2014-07-19 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds interesting. Which way are we going?

[Lancer is curious about what Reno wants to do with their wireframe bodies.]
morituramfides: (And we know Not what We Do)

He lets out a sardonic breath that could be construed as half of a laugh if you really thought about. Putting the effort into making that laugh fully realized sounded like work.

"You let her take control of the tower?" A normally critical comment that didn't quite have the usual bite or spite to it as Jin usually employed. He's not really surprised that the odds are being stacked innumerably against us.

He heaved a sigh and shifted his position, leaning back and keeping his head down. "I can't do anything with the computers if they know I'm there." And Moros was-- fickle at best.

"What makes you think I can do anything? I'm not even sure revenge is worth it at this point. And please don't try and sell me your power of friendship crap... I'm sick of the self-righteousness."
midgarhorizon: (this ones weird sis)

[personal profile] midgarhorizon 2014-07-19 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
[That makes him frown.]

Y-yeah... Yeah, I was.

[It's still a topic that hurts, whenever he thinks about it.]
morituramfides: (To see God in their Own Way)

[personal profile] morituramfides 2014-07-19 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
He'd shifted enough to give a sidelong glance to the source of the voice-- well, he already knew what the source was, but at least he felt fit enough to dignify it with some sort of visual acknowledgement. But even so, once confirmed (as if he needed the confirmation), he just moved back to look away again.

"Nothing left to tinker. No real point to it either."

So what if he was throwing in the towel-- it wouldn't be the first time he tried.

Got room for more in here?

[personal profile] warriorscribe 2014-07-19 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Enoch wasn't quite sure what to expect when he and Lucifel had gone through this portal. To come out not too far behind someone they hadn't even come in with wasn't it though. They caught up to Grainne and Hilda not long after she'd called for her, though Enoch didn't offer anything else, only giving the women a nod in greeting if their footsteps caught her attention, or if the light of their souls in this dark world did the same.

((same as all the others, just saying this here to be safe, but don't worry about waiting on Lucifel unless he's been directly addressed, his player is busy and may not be available for regular tagging, so his presence is handwaved.))

[personal profile] no_longer_a_king 2014-07-19 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
"There are portals like that in your world?" Arturia asked, approaching the wireframe. The form disturbs her as well, but it doesn't matter to her. Strange looking or not, that is still Neal in there.

"I have never seen portals like that during my time in Fuyuki."

[personal profile] no_longer_a_king 2014-07-19 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
She had seen him struggling and, assuring Zelda she would not be left behind and that she knew they would wait for her, she had stopped to wait for him to catch up. When he rolls over she crouches down beside him to give him a bit of dignity in his moment of weakness.

"I won't. Do not worry, Loken," she said with a soft grin. It still surprised her how easy it was to smile in these moments when every time she had been in Fuyuki previously had ended in sorrow and rage.

"They assured me they will wait for us." She did not ask him if he wanted time to rest. It was his choice if he did either way, but neither of them would have to worry about being left behind.

It's fine! The first one is more or less done. I didn't expect this many people responding here. XD

[personal profile] no_longer_a_king 2014-07-19 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Enoch?" she calls. She had been watching them for a few moments in shock. It'd been so long since anything but the wind blowing had caused movement she had been certain she'd been hallucinating. But then one of the men broke off from the other and called her by her title and she knew--just knew--she had not finally lost what was left of her sanity and ran up to him.

"Enoch!" she calls again, skidding to a stop as she's about to collide into him. Even if she is nothing more but a ghost here, passing through things is unpleasant for her, suffocating almost, and she does not want to test how it feels to pass through something truly living.

[OHANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Hey look who earned +1 Asch Smile. Trade it in at a shop for something really special!]

Let's get moving, then. Anyone see another portal?

[If not, he's going to go climb the nearest piece of tall, climbable wreckage. Because that's what ninjaknights do.]
oathshackledbird: Face (Face)

[personal profile] oathshackledbird 2014-07-19 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Diarmuid nods, pointing again off to their right.]

Over here. It's a bit off from us, but it's definitely not the one we arrived through. Though, it might not be a bad idea to get to a high point and see if there is more than one. With so many people to find, it could be a possibility.

[Xion, only halfway back up from straightening herself back upright, makes a noise of surprise as she's scooped up.

It isn't the first time he's picked her up though, and she doesn't fight or struggle, waiting until she's secure before speaking up]

We think it's a sprain. ['We' meaning 'Shion's assessment'] I'm not sure we can just... fix it, can we?
attheclocktower: the call ♟ regina spektor (thoughtful ♡ it started out as a feeling)

[personal profile] attheclocktower 2014-07-19 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
She was right outside the door. There wasn't any other way back up. No stairs, and the elevator was broken. I guess... we were scared.

[Light only knew she had been. They hadn't been ready to face Ruana then.]

And maybe with Riki gone, we thought it wouldn't happen again or... I don't know. It was only a small one at first, to try to see if it was safe, but as soon as we tried it just... it was like it exploded.

[At least she's reasonably certain Riku hadn't meant to open a corridor that big]
midgarhorizon: (on the job and not amused)

[personal profile] midgarhorizon 2014-07-19 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Reno listened attentively, then places a hand on her head to comfort.]

Don't worry about it... if you were doing what you thought best, I can't judge. I wasn't there, kiddo, and I trust ya. ...I think I get it though. No teleportation yet. Least not anything that isn't Zo's.

[It hurt her too. It hurt her a lot. Rick had been so important to her... she'd never really moved past it, only accepted that it happened because she had to.

She tried to shake it from her thoughts. It wasn't easy.
]

That.... that's not important right now, is it. Where are we? I've never been here before.
midgarhorizon: (Linefacing at you)

[personal profile] midgarhorizon 2014-07-19 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Midgar. Or what's left of it.

[He waves a hand at the empty city around them.]

My home. Kinda depressing, huh?
stitchedupbodyguard: (Default)

[personal profile] stitchedupbodyguard 2014-07-19 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oh....

[Her gaze rests on the city around them. Even if she hadn't been here before, she could still feel how empty it was, and how depressing it was.]

Yeah, it's pretty depressing.
midgarhorizon: (walking)

[personal profile] midgarhorizon 2014-07-19 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
[He laughs humorlessly a bit, and shrugs.]

Ruana's got a lot to pay for. Oh yeah, [he suddenly turns serious,] before you go, ya should probably help yourself to what's in the warehouse. The others already got in and they're grabbing stuff. Thought as long as you guys are walking around in wireframes, you might as well get somethin' to protect yourself.
stitchedupbodyguard: (Totally sneaking)

[personal profile] stitchedupbodyguard 2014-07-19 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh... right. Being a wireframe for so long, she'd nearly forgotten about it.]

Yeah, that bitch really does. [The seriousness was mirrored in her own expression.] Warehouse? So there's others here from the tower?
