[She laughs. She can't help it. It's such a nod back to even when they first met. Years ago.]

[That's not enough on it's own. It doesn't feel right. Certainly it's not an adequate goodbye for what- no. No she wouldn't even consider the possibility. Not with Reno.]

But you have to stay safe. No "trying" either.

Yeah... I will. I'm goin' out there not just for us, y'know? I'm doin' it to help the other universes.

[It's... kind of a weird thought, but after all they've seen...]

And Ruana... I don't think she started out this way. She started out... like us. So we got to do what we can to put her down and out of her misery, 'cause that's going to stop ours. Uh... does that make sense?

[It's been a long time since she's really allowed herself to think of Ruana in this sort of context - especially since facing off with her a few hours ago - but it makes its own sort of sense.]

She's hurting, but... she's hurting herself, and she's not going to stop what's causing her hurt. Maybe... maybe she can't.

[She isn't quite sure if she believes that, but whether it was a case of willfulness or not, there was no denying the fact that Ruana was far too gone.]

[Giving her another squeeze, Reno let go and gave her a thumbs up.]
