[Diarmuid takes an unconscious step toward Waver. Anyone who knows him, knows that he decided long ago where he wanted to go.]

It's too bad that we were told that our soul energy can't power the Tower. If the energy Riki took from us is still in the machine, it could be used to help power this place for those who want to stay until they find a better way to do it.

[He runs a hand through his hair.]

I would really like it if people could travel between worlds once we have all gone home--I know that much--but I really am not sure how it can be done. Obviously, the links can be made. We just all were able to travel between worlds. However, if that was all Zo's powers, it's probably not viable as a permanent option. After all, it wouldn't be right to ask him to spend his whole life strapped to that machine just to keep the links open.

[Patchouli has mostly been quiet up till now. There's never been any question for her about going back home, but she sees the point for other people.]

-- is there anything else here like the teleporter we used to get to the hidden floor? I'll be the first to admit that I don't know how it works, but if the links are made and it's somehow keyed to us - meaning only the ones that were here would be able to activate it - it might be something. It's not fair to ask Zo to spend his life strapped to the machine, no, but if something like a teleporter is an option, we could 'imagine' one in each world we restore, perhaps?

Where... sorry... where I come from there are storms that connect two worlds... I think it might be possible to be able to connect our worlds... maybe... [He has no idea, but those portals had done it, so they should be able to, they just had to think]

There is a method to travel between worlds where I'm from as well, but it's not exactly viable in this case. The only person that can do it isn't the sort one wants to be indebted to. We should probably keep methods like that in mind, however--just in case we have no alternatives.

A teleporter...that seems plausible at the very least. But then we're back to the problem of 'where do we get a power source?'.

This...is a long shot...

[So long, in fact, Diarmuid is almost unwilling to mention it, but if it might give someone a better idea he shouldn't keep quiet either.]

...but if our soul energy is still in the machine, do you think Zo might be able to shift the barriers tied to it to make it something the Tower can use? It wouldn't be a permanent fix, but it would give us something to get started with...

Though, I do hate that we are looking to Zo for so much of this. It seems...wrong somehow. Especially since he is up there already helping to fight Ruana...
