[France takes another long moment to examine all of the items. He's intimately familiar with guns. He's had to be, ever since they were first invented and humans found out they could turn them on each other just as easily as on animals. They certainly pack the most punch.

And then there are swords. He used to use them when he was younger, then continued to practice the older he got, even if they were no longer much use in wars. One of the few things he'd been given in this Tower was a rapier. They've got a better aesthetic to them (if you're going to kill someone, why not offset it with a bit of flair?), and there was no ammunition to worry about, but they would require close-quarters combat.
