[He nodded, glad that Diarmuid wasn't going to stop him. He didn't want to make people angry at him, but he wanted to help and fight. They were his friends.] I will be. His name is Pinocchio, Yotsuba gave me the name. He was pretending to be my weasel from home Piccolo. I was really mad at him when I realised he was just a foil creature but then I remembered that he had been with me for two years here and he had always stood by me and was a really good friend. So I gave him a name of his own.

[Once Pinocchio sniffs both his hands, Diarmuid holds them out to allow Romeo to place his pet into them once he is ready. At the same time, he wonders if he should tell Romeo what he read in Reno's notes about their pets. However, he's not sure Romeo will be able to understand that while his pet's body might be as fake as his own, the soul is real.

Perhaps, once this is all over he can try to explain it to boy.]

That is very kind of you. Loyalty should always be rewarded and if your little friend has stuck by you this long, then he is a good friend indeed. I will take very good care of him for you.

Do you have a plan for the fight? Or will you just stick with a group of other fighters and help them however you can?

[Romeo smiled, he was glad that Diarmuid had said yes, he knew he would protect Pinocchio very well.] I'm just going to try and help everyone. Ken is letting me use one of his old spears that are too small for him.

Good. I would say, if you can, stay near Ken. He knows what he's doing and you two are good friends. I know you won't let each other down.

[Diarmuid looks around the room and then points out a man with long blue hair.]

Also, if you can, stay close to him. That's my brother and he will keep an eye on you. He will also need someone to keep an eye on him. Think you can do that?

I will! He's my friend so I will stay near him in case he needs help. [He nodded and grinned] I know mister Lancer already! I'll keep an eye on him too and make sure he comes back safe!

Diarmuid reaches out with one hand and gently ruffles the boy's hair, "You are a good little knight, Romeo. We are lucky to have you fighting with us. I am very proud of you. Just think of how all of this will help you once you go home! You will certainly find a way to make Alfredo's dream a reality."

Romeo smiled, feeling proud that Diarmuid felt that way and he hoped he was right. That what he learned here would help him find a way to make Alfredo's dreams a reality back home.

He darted forwards suddenly and wrapped his arms around Diarmuid. "Thank you, I hope we manage to beat her... and you all find a way to get everyone home." In a lot of ways Diarmuid's and the others' task was harder, finding a way to restore all the worlds.

Diarmuid returns Romeo's hug tightly, "You're welcome and don't worry, we will. You just focus on helping the others defeat her and leave the finding a way home to us."

The last thing he wants is for the boy to be distracted and worrying about what is going on down here during the fight.

Romeo nodded. "I will! Don't you worry I'll make sure to help everyone so we can all go home together!"

And he would make sure everyone was alive to be able to go home!

"Just makes sure you keep an eye on yourself too, all right?" Diarmuid lets Pinocchio jump up onto his shoulder and then he gives Romeo a gentle look, "You are a very important part of everyone. Don't forget that!"

Romeo looked back seriously and nodded, "I won't!" He stood on his tiptoes so he could talk to Pinocchio. "Alright you have to be good for mister Diarmuid okay! I better not hear that you was bad!"

Pinocchio for his part wriggled his nose and became very interested in Diarmuid's collar.

Diarmuid laughs and gives the little weasel a pat on the head, "I am sure he will be fine. After all, how can he be anything but good when his master is going to be fighting and being so brave?"

"Go fight and win, Romeo. We will be waiting for you when you return!"

Romeo nodded and hugged Diarmuid once more, reaching up to stroke Pinocchio. "See you later! Good luck finding a way home!"

He stepped back and punched the air, keeping his spirits up. He turned and ran off to Zo's group, sticking his hand up to wave at them both as he did so.
