[Sneaky mothers are sneaky. Which means that Elena is peering over Shion's shoulder moments after he's clicked on the second file. To say she wasn't interested would be a lie, but she's hesitant. Last time she pushed too hard for information, things didn't end well.]

.....Hey.

[Its more of a whisper, a hand lightly touching his shoulder.]

Getting anything?

[And, another person comes up behind both of them, not intending to be sneaky, but...]

Be careful with that terminal. It would be rather unfortunate if we caused collateral damage by pressing the wrong button. [To put it mildly.]

Not yet. [He smiles nervously at Elena and then his eyes flicker over to the man.] I'll be careful [Totally avoiding that corrupt file, see he is smart after all]

[A video begins to play. DAY -021 is displayed in the bottom right corner. It appears to be some sort of security video. Ruana is alone in the laboratory. There are no corpses here now, and Ruana is on her hands and knees scrubbing the blood away from the floors. The machines have already been cleaned, but the blood on the walls still lingers.

Tears drip inelegantly down her face.

[Elena is all but leaning on Shion, squinting at the screen.]

What in Gaia's name happened? Is that -- but why is she--?

[She reaches over and clicks on sec003]

[A video begins to play. DAY -1395483 is displayed in the bottom right corner. It appears to be some sort of security video. Ruana is piecing something together. It's made of metal and wire and glass, but the pieces are in too disorganized a state to tell what's going on as of yet. Ruana doesn't appear to have aged at all, but her face is cached with blood and angry-looking tracks of torn up skin where it appears she may have clawed at her own face over and over.

It's from before. [Shion's voice is quiet] This used to be a facility for experimenting on children. [He's not sure if Elena knew that, it was mostly just guess work from everything that had been pieced together, not just by him but by the others who had gathered information and compared experiences.
