Room 2-14

[Yosuke's never been quick to wake up - unless it's someone waking him up in the middle of class. Laying in bed an extra few minutes is normal. What's not normal is the bed, the room, or anything about this place. And then panic ensues! What we end up with is one Yosuke trying his best to keep calm as he takes in these strange surroundings in a slight panic]

What the hell?! Who's idea of a joke is this!

Floor 14

[Yosuke - now dressed in his usual threads, headphones around his neck, has found his way to the entertainment room. He doesn't feel particularly jolly though, and rather than enjoy the entertainment he's sprawled on a couch, looking up and contemplating the last few hours of his life]

[Alright, time to make the explanation as crazy as possible]

My friends and I went into another world inside TV's to stop a killer and accidentally foil a crazy goddess' plans for the end of the world. Or something like that.

[She laughs a little, face bright and cheerful and most definitely not skeptical.]

I think you even have me beat! TV world, huh?

[Shit, that's a shock. He almost even missed her off-hand comment, but stops himself from saying more]

Hold on a second. You got part of my story, so let's hear part of yours. Have you beat?

[Time to make her response just as lavishly clusterfucked!]

Me and my friends would be awake during a secret extra hour of the day between 12:00 am and 12:01, where everything turns green-ish and liquid turns into blood and everyone else is asleep inside coffins, and we had to go exploring a Tower that appeared where my school was supposed to be called Tartarus, and get aaaall the way to the top while summoning our psyches by shooting ourselves with a special gun to fight monsters spread throughout, and then prevent the end of the world by stopping the coming of a death goddess at the very top of the tower.

[Whew that was a mouth full.]

My school would literally turn into hell at night when everyone was asleep.

[Yosuke gapes in disbelief for a moment after that - not that her story seems far-fetched, but that she'd consider it the lesser of the two stories]

Hold on just a second. At best we're tied, and that's giving my story a lot of leeway!

Fine, fine! [She waves the argument off with her hand, laughing a little.]

So how did you save the world from an angry goddess, mr. hero?

[And now that she asks, something occurs to him. And he's eyeing her differently now, a little unsure of how this is becoming even more coincidental]

... by summoning our psyches. Our personas.

[She goes quiet, eyes wide with disbelief.]

Your... personas...?

[No. Way.]

[Okay this is almost as weird as the whole 'strange place your world is destroyed' thing]

Yeah. To fight shadows.

...We fought shadows with our personas.

[This is quite the oddity, right here.]

I didn't... I had no idea other people besides SEES and Strega could even use personas...

[He raises an eyebrow at the mention of SEES and Strega - those are completely foreign to him]

We couldn't, at first. Not until after we'd been inside the TV world. It's... it's complicated.

I guess it was fate that brought us here, huh?

[She taps her chin a little, thinking.]

We have to awaken to our powers, to use them successfully. But it requires a catalyst to summon properly-- [She reaches down to her waist holster, taking out her evoker with the large SEES label on the side.] These are evokers. They help us channel the energy to summon our personas by shooting a burst of energy through our heads.

[A pause.]

How many personas can you and your friends use?

[Holy shit, putting a gun to your head?! Even if it's not really a gun, that's still hardcore. Damn]

Most of the group can use one, though my persona did change after a while. Our leader though... he can use more than one. A lot more. But we don't use those evoker things - we have cards.

I lead my group into battles, and I can use more than one persona.

Like the tarot cards personas are associated with?

[But he nods in agreement]

Yeah, exactly. I think I can demonstrate, if you want.

[She nods and stands up, evoker in hand.]

[He sweeps a hand in front of him]

[She lifts the evoker to her head and pulls the trigger, energy splattering from the other side of her head much like an exit wound, as a large persona (http://images.wikia.com/megamitensei/images/9/9c/Kikuri-hime.jpg) appears above her.]

This is Kikuri-hime.

[He'd be lying if he said he wasn't unnerved seeing her put a gun to her head - but what follows? That's familiar]

[Eerily, scarily, creepily familiar]

[But he shakes it off and gets to his feet. Without his blades in hand, he'll have to take a page from Souji's book. And so as that blue glow spreads and his card descends, he simply grabs it in hand and crushes it]

[Hey look, a second persona!]

And mine is Susano-o.

[Kikuri-hime disappears, and Minako reholsters her evoker.]

What was the name of the goddess you fought?

Izanami. Her name was Izanami.
