Event: Questions and Answers
Characters: NPCs, open
Setting: cafeteria, after lunch, June 11 & 12
Format: starting in prose
Summary: Some of the tower administration answers questions characters may have about their situation.
Warnings: possible language, possible violence
There is a small, hastily-constructed stage at the head of the cafeteria. While it's empty now, it's obvious there's room for two people to sit and answer questions in front of microphones. After dinner, the collared cafeteria workers silently clear away all food to prepare. Until the session begins, everyone is left to talk amongst themselves.

DAY ONE - Dax and Riki
"Greetings!" His tone is as energetic as the rest of him. "You're no doubt wondering what's brought you to this tower. I'm aware that one of my associates saw fit to include a short letter explaining the barest bones of the situation, but he is quite naive, and this has only caused more confusion. We will start with introductions! I am Dax. I'm in charge of the day-to-day organization of this Tower. The menu, room plans, jobs, that sort of thing."
Dax looks at the man beside him pointedly, and the man shifts a bit and finally speaks. "You can call me Riki. I do maintainence, on the building and on the network. If you were wondering who was sending the notices, that was me."
Dax looks satisfied for now, and smiles at the gathered group. "Now, let me address what I feel will be the most common subjects first, though this will be a bit broad. Yes, your worlds have been destroyed. We have no way to prevent this, so we do what we can to save those we have time to save. Yes, some of you are from different worlds. Detailed questions on how these worlds work are best saved for tomorrow, although I will try to answer what I can. I will now open the floor for questions."
Re: DAY ONE - Dax and Riki
"Um... Wh-what about... the other people from our worlds?" he asks. "What happened to them?"

Too many of her neighboring nations were missing, and she was growing worried whether they had been rescued or left to perish.

"I don't understand the point of all of this. Even if our worlds have been destroyed, why do you persist in keeping us here? What's outside of this tower? Does the fog ever dissipate? Is there even anything outside of this tower?"

She raises her hand, putting on her game face. "Where is this tower, exactly? If the worlds are gone, then what is this place?"

And then muttering under her breath she comments, "Why is everyone listening to these freaks."
Neither of those are questions, but America doesn't really care.

DAY TWO - Jason and Zo
"I trust Dax has briefed you on some of the basics yesterday, but he and Riki are not suited to all questions, and so we are here as well. My name is Jason, I am the head of the medical ward--which reminds me, your collar checkups are coming up starting Monday. There is a list in the notes you received of when you have to stop by the infirmary, organized by the color of your collars.
With me is Zo, who is young but serves an invaluable purpose in the tower. While he will not be answering many questions today, he did wish to meet the people here."
Zo hops out of his seat with the excitement young children have. "Hi! I hope everything's okay... I kinda got in trouble for that letter, but I think I'll keep putting it in anyway." He grins, somewhere between sheepish and mischievous.
Jason waits diplomatically for Zo to finish before he continues. "No doubt Dax directed many questions about the situation of the worlds you are from to us. We will strive to do our best to answer these questions. You may begin."

"Why do we need the collars? I've noticed they aren't poisoned."
